#NASCAR Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 car, has been fined $25,000 and placed on probation until Dec31 (for having cellphone)
That reeks of NASCAR wanting to drop the hammer on BK's comments post-race (even though BK was 100% right), and searching for any violation they could find to do so. BK had a cell phone in-car at Daytona for pete's sake, even tweeted out a picture during the long red flag. No fine then. Did NASCAR change the rules since then?
Gordon should have been parked next week, and Bowyer's crew chief should have been suspended for failing to keep control of his crew. The fines are stiff but docking the points at this point in the season is a joke. The only points that matter now belong to BK & JJ.
What don't you understand? Gordon never made contact until Bowyer got loose and hit Gordon. It's right there in the replay.
Like Bowyer did to Gordon twice?
Im a lerker around here and i have been around awhile and i agree with you on almost all your post that i have seen but that i dont agree with while phoenix is a fairly flat track in the grove the apron is flat and there is a bunch of junk down there Bowyer wouldnt have been down there if gordon didnt run him down there. I believe gordon was even blacked flaged before that and there was a interview after the race where the pit road annoucer girl said we heard it was premeditated but anyways i have no dog in the fight and NASCAR handed down there slap on the wrist already so no reason arguing it was my first time on in a few days and saw your post and for the record i dont blame gordon for wreckin him i just think he could have handled it better and make it less obvious.
The F1 race coverage started at 10:30 and Nascar coverage started at 10:30 on TSN 2. F1 was shown on speed so the broadcast was blacked out in Canada and TSN isn't showing it until 8:30. Nascar had a 1.5hour pre-race show. Hooray for waking up early for ninety minutes of nothing.
