Can I ask where you sat for the race? I am thinking about attending a race there but dont know where to sit or if there really is a bad seat since the track is only 1/2 mile.

Wallace Tower, section M, row 12. 2nd to last row from the top. Won't sit anywhere else again there.

Wouldn't recommend it though if you are scared of heights.

Chad Knaus's 6-week suspension and Jimmie Johnson's 25 point penalties stemming from Daytona have been rescinded. The $100K fine against Knaus stands.

Gotta admit, I'm surprised. After it was upheld on the first appeal I expected it to stick.

Race this weekend might be rained out, they are predicting it to come in on Sunday. Hopefully they get some of it in.

Havent posted here before, but im a huge nascar/tony stewart fan, and I was just thinking, it amazes me how Danica Patrick can get a sweet ride in cup this year but Austin Dillon cant. He and Stenhouse Jr are 2 of the next great drivers, but especially dillon, imo. Cheers.

Went to the race today, my first one. It was amazing the atmosphere is awesome. I had to put in earplugs by lap 20 though , shame the rain came I had a feeling my boy Dale Jr. in the 88 was finding his groove getting up to 3rd. Definitely will be going next year

Dillon will be, but likely in a 4th RCR Car (33), but typically you don't want the youngsters to get burned out, or be tossed faster than is necessary.... Danica isn't in a full-time ride, hence why TBR took Blaney's pts from the 36, to keep the Patrick Cup car in the top 35, w/ Reutimann being in that car when Danica isn't....

the economy is what's hampering both RFR Nationwiide entries, including Stenhouse, because other than Blackwell Angus Beef/Cargill for 12 races, he and Bayne are struggling sponsorship-wise, which likely means you won't see Bayne racing unless it's for the Woods beginning @ Texas

I'm a huge NASCAR fan. I've tried to watch every race since 2009. My favorite drivers are Kenseth, Edwards, Biffle, and Kahne. I don't like Gordon, Johnson, Jr, or Stewart.

you were surprised by that?
any time rick hendrick is involved, you know he will cry and whine his way out of it. as somebody said earlier......rick hendrick is "nascars favourite felon".

if he could cry his way out of prison time, he sure as hell can cry his way out of anything nascar wants to throw at him.

The announcer just called the clock a Grandmother clock. Is there even such a thing?

Brad Keselowski is one of my favorite drivers, but that was a really bonehead move when he got caught for speeding.

Congrats to Ryan Newman on his first win of the season. A pretty good day for Stewart-Haas actually, with Tony somehow pulling out a 7th place finish after being down a lap. Hopefully both drivers and crews can keep the momentum up. It'd be great to see both Tony and Ryan being competitive in the Chase.

There is, it is a little smaller than a grandfather clock but it looks the same

That's racing for you - 24 & 48 dominate all day long and are cruising to a 1-2 finish (and with 88 in 3rd it would have been 1-2-3 for Hendrick), then the 30-something place car putt-putts around the track for 2 or 3 laps before finally dying on the front stretch and causing the G-W-C.

Reutimann & his whole team just plain made a dumb move, and if you look at the points standings it was completely unnecessary. They would have lost at most one position in the race, meaning one point - and they're 5 points clear (as of this morning) from 36th in the owners standings.

I think Reutimann knew he screwed up doing that. He is in a bad position with trying to impress people, with the little time he has in the car.

Lucky for Tony he will have one of the dominant cars week in and week out on the 1.5-2 mile tracks, which is like half the schedule. The only problem is, and Ive noticed this for awhile now, SHR's short track program isnt even close to the level of Hendrick, Roush, and Childress. He lately has been hovering around in 15th or so every short track race, minus the win in Martinsville last fall, which he totally pulled out of his ass. If he improves on short tracks, he will be near impossible to beat this year. Big Stewart fan, as you all can tell.
