lol. That's funny.

I predict that the offense is going to be firing in all cylinders. Kane, Burmi and Wellwood are gonna light it up!

I think it's a great move putting Burmi on that number 2 line.

Get er done tonight boys!

Thanks VERY much for the praise, but I have to put a shout out for the other great GDT creators on this board. For me, it's all about the passion for the team, the willingness to put some time in for the entertainment of others, etc. Hammer, Holden, King, Lynk and others have done some great, creative GDT's that I love - they deserve props for their hard work and humourous takes!

Prediction time: the Jets are incredibly embarrassed about leaving Pavs out to dry - shut down time. 3-1 Jets - final goal is an EN goal. So, 100% agree with your prediction.

(In reality - probably some crazy 6-4 goal fest. )

Go Go!

Just to follow up on this, everyone who has done a GDT thread has done an AWESOME job and we appreciate the time and work that goes into a GDT thread, but you know..... they should still feel shame .

I agree. At this stage, Stapleton brings much more to the table than Fehr.

Unless there is an injury/illness we don't know about, putting in Fehr over Stapleton flies in the face of the whole "guys earning their ice" mantra.

Just saw the following lines on IC:

Forwards:

1st: Andrew Ladd-Bryan Little- Blake Wheeler

2nd: Evander Kane- Alexander Burmistrov- Kyle Wellwood

3rd: Tanner Glass- Jim Slater- Chris Thorburn

4th: Tim Stapleton- Nikolai Antropov -Antti Miettinen

Defence:

Dustin Byfuglien- Tobias Enstrom

Zach Bogosian-Mark Stuart

Johnny Oduya-Ron Hainsey

I like that a lot better, with Stapler in for Fehr. I know we've talked about how little Burmi has been used on the 2nd line this year. But how many games would this be for him at centre? When was the last time he played centre this year? Should be interesting to watch.

I also like to see Stuart again with Bogo. Nothing against Hainsey (as he and Bogo played ok together), but I thought Bogo and Stuart were really good defensively when they were together. Plus, Hainsey and Oduya should be good as well.

Not to mention Evgeni Nabokov has absolute game stealing potential, and is really begenning to make his mark in their organization. Yes, the Jets need to take this one seriously, and can't afford a loss, especially when the three teams 8,7,6 are all in action as well.

The good news boys is there is no way we take this team lightly tonight. The Isles are 5-1-0 in their last 6 road games and frankly (weirdly) are one of the most dominat road teams in the NHL. this could be our toughest road game of this big up coming home stand.

I hope and predict it will be one of the best games of the year.

I can't wait until I see people spazzing over Antro not being used properly by being on the 4th line

Although it is fun to speculate and theorize I don't worry too much about projected line combinations since Noel is such a juggler. I do however place allot of stock in who is benched. I, like others, believe Stapleton is a much better start at this point than Fehr. He is the hotter hand and much more productive offensively and he is good on the point on the 2nd PP unit especially with Bogo.

I wonder if Burmi replacing Antro as #2 C is foreshadowing a potential Antro trade at the deadline.

Agree - I like the looks of that line better as well. Stapler and Miettinen can buzz around while Antro feeds them the puck - could work.

That would be priceless. We've just gone through pages and pages of Antro not being a good player, not good enough to be on the 2nd line, slow, etc.

10 minutes into the game, "WTF is Antro doing on the 4th line! What a waste of money! That guy should at least be our #2C!"

Awsome GDT, Big fan of Monty Python. I pride myself on knowing "the holy grail by heart"

Anyway Reasoner is going to be in and Wallace out for the Isles tonight.
Here are the expected lines for the Islanders

Moulson – Tavares – Okposo
Grabner – Nielsen – Parenteau
Rolston – Bailey – Martin
Niederreiter – Reasoner – Pandolfo

Streit – Staios
Ness – MacDonald
Jurcina – Eaton

Nabokov
Montoya

For those interested in hearing what the other side thinks, we spoke with John Tavares and former member of the Moose Michael Grabner.

Always love watching Marty play!

As long the Isles don't use him against us in OT that is.

I lasted about 3 minutes before I screamed and shut it off!

And now for something completely different:
