NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

We were just talking yesterday, itís funny. He really wanted a goal and weíre all pulling for him.
Like Richards yesterday against the Flyers, Prusty is as deserving as anybody.
- Brian Boyle

Obviously, when you win a couple of big games and weíve been rolling pretty good, itís always good momentum.
But itís a whole new start, a whole new game going up against one of the best teams in the league.
- Brandon Prust

Yeah. I think sometimes people think Cally's just a shot blocker and a guy that can bang along the boards and forecheck and finish checks. But this is what his third season now with 20-plus goals?
He can also play, and make plays. I think Cally has a little bit of a chip on his shoulder that everybody thinks heís a one-dimensional guy. He isnít. As he keeps on growing as a player, heís certainly showing it.
- John Tortorella

Key game for us. If we win, we are 9 points ahead of the Bruins with a little over two dozen games to go. It would be next to impossible for Boston to catch up unless we completely collapse.

If we lose, we are up only 5 points with BB having an extra game. It would mean fighting for the top spot for several weeks to go.

While i agree it is a huge game for us and pivotal in the standings, you have to remember we play Boston 2 more times after this. So, it is not the end all be all.

I think I just love beating the teams we are competing most with in the standings. The teams that are the most talented and highly regarded. Philly was near the top for awhile leading up to the winter classic. We just kept beating them. It has really made the difference in the separation between where we are and where Philly is currently in the standings. Same will probably be the case with Boston as to who finishes 1-2. Just keep winning season series. Take another in Boston before you play both of the remaining two at home in MSG.

Lundqvist confirmed? Yeah obviously it would be stupid not to play him but sometimes I've been very surprised with the goalie selection

And Stu Bickel as a forward? :O

I'm saying if we don't score first we aint getting the W. Just speculation though... Hoping for that win! Boston hasnt been as hot as they once were so that may help us!

Should be a fun one this evening. Hope you all enjoy the game, and if anyone is attending, don't let the drunk Bostonians be too annoying!

Bruins have been inconsistent since the Vancouver game back on 1/7. We haven't strung 2 good games together since December. We played well against Nashville so I fully expect us to suck tonight.

Anyone else feel like a trade hinges on this game? We all know the road to the cup is through Boston this year.

I am afraid we won't beat them in Boston twice this year. I hope we do, but chances are the Bruins will bounce back.

I hope I am wrong but I am predicting a 3-2 win for Boston

bad feeling about this one, i'm sorry to say. i'm feeling like it's going to be a blow out. goalie change and everything. i just hope the rangers keep their composure and move forward. a bit of a gut check. but i have faith in this team. just a bump in the road.

Game Is on crappy msg2. With the Knicks and Lin, they will never be on msg2. In fact we have 6 more games on MSG2 this season and the crappy Knicks have 0.
