Vinny

After the 2nd half last year, the playoffs, and all season this year how do you feel about Vinny's play? It seems like he's picked up the offense that's been lacking and looks real confident again. How do you feel about him?

I used to be real hard on him a few years back when I thought he was coasting through games and doing nothing on defense. Since Boucher took over the effort has been there and his defensive game has gone from non existent to pretty good.

Been a tank. Finally trusts that shoulder and really seems to be loving where the team is heading and it shows in his play.

Back to his old self. Tonight's goal was proof. It was him versus like 4 Rangers and still stuck with it & scored.

I agree with everything except the trade. People always say Marty is the heart of the team but Vinny is pretty close too. Now that Stamkos is there he doesn't have to be all offense and it seemed like he wasn't as confident especially when the team didn't have anyone besides him and Marty. He's been a beast all season and it's been great because he's my favorite player. Very happy to see him back

Yeah vinny was our like NUMBER 1 pick that pretty much showed what the lightning can do his first few seasons don't justify his playing but afterwards showed he is what the lightning wanted. Looks like he is coming to be how he is and should average 70-80 points a season which i would say is not too bad he can hit 90's at times but its nice to have a center and leader like that

With him and Stamkos it is possible we could have a 95+ guy and a 75+ guy as a one-two punch for years to come... that's not a bad thing to have.

He's got some attributes that Stamkos doesn't have which do not necessarily show up on the score sheet. FO% and his size give him something that the other two hot shots don't have.
