When your team averages 2.7 top-6 forwards per game on the season, you aren't going to win.
We walked into the season with 5 top-6 forwards (Koivu, Heatley, Bouchard, Setoguchi, and Latendresse). We've never had a game when all of them are 100%.
Richards had more or less the same lineup as Yeo. Never had Bouchard, never had Latendresse. Arguably Yeo has a better top six with Seto and Heater and we've scored less goals.
How does that add up? It would be ludicrous to not put some of the blame on Yeo. He deserves it.
Could be. He may just outlive Chuck Fletcher. We shall see. Jacques was here for close to a decade. Never know. Don't know what the standard length is for an NHL coach but I don't think it could average past five years.
Wow, I didn't know people were being serious in worrying about Yeo. No, he is not the problem. It's too bad he's being considered as part of the problem at all. Well, at least he's already bald... stress from this year and all won't help anything there...
He's purchased some leeway, but he hasn't purchased trust. He could be the next Joe Sacco, or he could be the next Lemaire. More time and different players will show his true ability. There's reasons to believe his systems won't work too.

I don't think most people are being serious unless I missed something..
The thing that is most intriguing about him is the stellar start the team had.
And while we have suffered more than any team in the league in the injury department, he was bringing up AHLers and they were still producing. Which is what baffles me most. Like I said, for sure one more season after this.
But I want to reiterate I am on record on this forum that I thought Richards deserved more time/leverage that he was granted, but not too many people on here agreed with me on that. The way the team plays the rest of the season will be a small indicator of where he will be down the road; either way, I want him back next one way or the other, just like I thought Richards deserved a third year.
