I know, but sometimes I get the feeling that Sather just can't help himself. He might do it anyway.

If it came down to Toronto or Islanders making the playoffs, I'd root for Toronto to be honest. If they win a round or two as do the Devils, Islanders can be very hard to beat for us at times (although Toronto plays Devs tough too)

if the Isle's sneak into 8th on a hot streak, they could give the rags a scare too

The Ducks appear to be trying to pull off the miracle run we fell short on last season. I don't think they'll be able to do it either.

It's all Jason Blake. He's the Anti-Langenbrunner.

14-3-3 with him in the line-up
9-21-6 with him out

Man oh man would I love to see that be the 1v8 matchup. That series would drain the Rangers even if they advanced.

I would just **** bricks if all the Atlantic teams made the postseason.

Even more bricks would be shat if the Isles swept the Rangers in the first round.

It's not even that impossible, they're just 6 points out and have a game in hand.

But how many division games do they have left? I think we have just played them twice this year. I'm sure they have a lot of games against the Rangers, Flyers, Pens, and Devils. That is 4 out the 5 best teams in the conference. Teams they will be fighting a spot with will get to play easier paths.

If the entire Atlantic division made the playoffs, that would be insane. Toronto, Florida, and Ottawa would all have to **** the bed entirely for it to happen, though.

BREAKING: Source tells me press conference scheduled at #Seattle City Hall to announce deal on new sports arena complex. Arena News Conference scheduled for tomorrow. I'm told Hedge Fund/Land Owner Chris Hansen is in town. He met with council members. This would be unprecedented for Seattle. We're potentially talking a BILLION dollar deal, with an arena, and two teams. #nba #nhl

Interesting. I think Quebec has to be first in line for a team though.

I'm almost 99% sure Bettman wouldn't allow another Canadian team, especially since Winnipeg just got one. Seattle is an ideal location.

The seattle team would have a chance to be loved right away if they made the playoffs considering how bad the mariners/seachickens are..

Question since I don't follow the NBA, but what was the reasoning behind the Sonics leaving?

I'm pretty sure it was an arena issue

that would be cool for seattle. ud have to guess somehow starbucks money would be involved, which i guess would be good for their cap/ability to sign players. i was hoping to see quebec back first though. still, its all rumors for now. but the yotes def arent staying where they are next season. sucks but its been coming.

As bad is it may sound i believe Bettman will do everything in his power to keep the Yotes in the USA. If that means covering them for another year so Seattle can build an area he will. I just dont think he wants to lose another US team, right after losing the Thrashers.

I can assure you Starbucks money will not be involved in any Seattle sports venture going forward. The Starbucks CEO was the one who sold the Sonics off to Oklahoma City to begin with.

Had nothing to do with the fans, that's for sure. There was uproar the day they moved. Fans weren't happy about it at all.
