It's clear why Aulie would come up. If they needed someone to sit as the 7th guy they'd call Holzer (I guess they feel he's really good at that), but since Phaneuf's partner is out then they can slip Aulie right in. Keith Aulie, he's either a Marlie or on our top pairing....

Assuming you mean to say "then give him a flu shot" and not something that makes no sense at all in the context of the conversation, I would have to point out to you that a flu shot has to be taken PRIOR to contracting the flu for it to work.
I guess he has only 15 more games till he is waiver eligible.
I don't see him playing 15 or more games this season unless Gunner's injury is more serious then what is expected. Butif he does, no way Burkie sends him through waivers where he almost for certain would get picked up, and we lose him for nothing.
Something has to give, we can't have 8 maybe 9 nhl-ready D. Someone has to be on the move.
A lot of you post without doing a little thinking. Gunnar is a left pairing defenseman and is out. Schemn, Franson, and Komiarsik have all played poorly on the left side this year. Holzer is a rookie right pairing defenseman. Aulie is a left pairing defeneman with previous success with playing with Phaeuf. Recalling Aulie over Holzer is the logical move.
