**** no.

He is our best winger and our one legit first liner(or the closest thing)
**** Penner
Brown is a second liner
Gagne is hurt

You trade from strength not weakness

I don't want to see Bernier go but what good is an asset that never plays? I know everyone brings up Quick next year and his contract but that's a long ways away, plenty of time to get him signed. I just think if Bernier can get the Kings a bonafide star, do it. A back up goalie is easier to get than a top 3 forward
I agree and I like Nash but isn't there a bit of a danger trading Bernier before Quick is signed? What if Quick doens't sign here? What if he decides he wants to be close to his family back East, there are a few teams who could use him and have the $$$.

No, because you close one hole, but open up another. Kings can't afford to give up any of their top 6. I'm not including Penner or Stoll as a top 6 forward because...well they're not.

Kings can't lose Brown or Williams unless they get two roster players with upside in their place.

They won't be moved.

Rumor out there now is that Jack was offered and Columbus said no because they think Jack would be unhappy in Columbus. They don't want another unhappy player, ie Carter. If they wait for players that want to be there, then I guess Nash isn't getting traded.
Why oh why do people believe these "rumors" that are reported. Do you REALLY think Howson is going to tell some dude on Twitter about an offer he received for Nash and the players that were involved? Come on man, you're smarter than that

"Boston, Los Angeles, the Rangers, San Jose, Toronto and Vancouver are believed to be on the approved list for Nash"

At this point I don't think any one knows for sure who is or isn't on the list-even that qoute isn't stating rock hard facts.

Latest insider trading-more conjecture but interesting none the less.

No one knows Nash's list but Nash, his agent, and Howson. Anything else you've heard is all speculation.

Speculation. If you read it closely, it says the teams "believed" to be on the list, not "confirmed".

The more I think about it the more I believe Nash will go to New York.

Columbus will then get Bernier out of us for Carter and have a nice mini rebuild reaping from those two deals.

I still hope we get Nash tho.

Seems like Philly could have interest in JJ too.

Bob McKenzie believes the Kings are the leaders of the pack in their pursuit of Rick Nash.

Also interesting was Lebrun mentioning that the Kings weren't initially on his list. So is that still the case or did he all the sudden add them?

I was just going to post this. It sounds like Lombardi pressured Howson/Howson realized the Kings have the type of assets he needs, and then Howson urged Nash to consider the Kings.

That is surprising because it sounded like the Kings definitely were one of his prime choices. Guess not...

I think he's going to end up a Ranger. Sather rarely gets outbid; he can't resist going after the big names.

I could see Nash on the Kings list, but then again, I don't see it.

He would be the go to guy on here. No doubt. He won't be captain so maybe that takes less pressure off.

No question he's on the Kings list, but are the Kings on his list? I'm not completely convinced that he would want to come here.

Haha. That's what I meant. Derpy doo me. I could see why the kings would be on his list, but then again I can see why they wouldn't be.

On NHL on the Fly, Fox said that he heard Nash recently put the Kings on his list. It's still all speculation at this point, but that would be good news if true.

I know Rick Nash is also very fond of IN-N-OUT.

Good point, but at some point the GM will have to make the best deal for the Jackets, not for Nash.

If the Kings did get Nash would AEG sell it as the biggest aquisition since Gretzky?
