Maybe they're putting Raymond on the 2nd line because he's good at creating scoring chances and preventing them at the other end?
Maybe Hodgson has been 'demoted' (he still got 22 shifts and 15 minutes against Phoenix, more than Bitz/Duco/Hansen/Lapierre/Malhotra and 7 seconds less than Raymond!) because he hasn't been as good at creating scoring chances and preventing them?
It's almost like a coach with a Jack Adams and a couple nominations knows what he's doing

Looks about right. He has started 16 games.
Luongo is playing well and Schneider is the back-up. Seems to be how things go."
The issue is we entirely disagree on schneider being just a back up or insurance policy and you say lou has played well but what about schneider?
1. Notice those big games he played? if he was just an insurance policy why would he be playing those big games vs chicago and boston?
2. Gillis has claimed he is an important part of this team winning a stanely cup.
3. Turning down decent offers for someone who is simply a backup strikes me as odd.
I feel schneider should be getting a start against the avs and his starts have been reduced the past few months, and again i view schneider as more then a typical backup or insurance policy. I also feel he has arguably played better then lou.
It is WETcoaster.
1. You complain Schneider is not used enough and then complain when he plays... odd.
2. Schneider is an important part of the team - he backs up the Number 1 goalie.
3. I have no explanation why it would strike you as odd - it does not seem so to most others.
He has not played better than Luongo recently.
I am sure GMMG and AV will be pleased to consider your feelings about the proper usage of Schneider.
There are two back to backs upcoming in the next 10 days - it is likely that Schneider is pencilled in for the the back half of both.

How do i complain when he plays? That comment makes no sense? Im complaining he has not played enough...
I disagree, stats say schneider has played better, we could go on and on... you clearly prefer lou, i prefer schneider. I know lou is our number 1 but i would like to see schneider play a bit more.
Also i hate when people like you make sarcastic comments like mg and av will consider your opinions. What are you doing on this board if not to share opinions? Pat av on the back? Do you ever disagree with av? I guess not.
The point is he has excellent stats, and is barely going to play more games then last year.
You clearly love lou, i like schneider and i think he should get a few more starts.
Thank god there's no one mentioning Jeremy Lin here (except me) god I almost hope he fails so I don't have to hear about it anymore... doesn't help that we live in Vancouver haha.
Anyways, not terribly excited for this one, just hoping we grind out a win, hopefully a blow out.

Thats my opinion.
Your opinion is welcome - like all others. I simply reject it.
AV is a God... not THE God but a God nevertheless.
Schneider is playing the amount of games a back-up would play behind an elite goaltender. Luongo is the Number 1 here for the foreseeable future given the contract length and NTC. That is the reality of the situation.

As mentioned I do agree he is our number 1, but i feel schneider deserves a few more starts, you dont...
I will leave it at that.
And im not saying he should be playing alot more, i would just like him to get a few more starts here and there but people will disagree with me. I just think we wont have an elite back up after this year... and may not again for many years, it would be nice to use him a bit more. Now if we still had raycroft i would not be complaining.
Here is Coach Vee talking about bringing Higgins back and the lines, the lack of offense outside of Booth and one rush by CoHo against the Coyotes, the challenge of playing the Avs, Weise could go if needed, no news on Ballard. http://video.canucks.nhl.com/videoce...=984&id=157553
Am I in the minority of people who don't have a problem with Hodgson on the 4th line? The kid makes everyone around him better but it's a lot more realistic and reasonable to expect him to make Bitz and Malhotra play better. He's good but he's not good enough to make Kesler, or the Sedins any better if you ask me. I like how he plays with Booth though. Bottom line, if it helps the team win I like it. I don't feel like it's holding back his development, he gets the powerplay time and after the Phoenix game Bitz and Manny may not see the ice in the third period anyways.

I really don't think this is how it works, but I guess we'll see.

I don't think there's a spot for Weise anymore. Too bad that Bitz doesn't play with Duco's grittiness, he'd be the perfect player for our team. Regardless, Bitz is much better than Weise, sorry Dale.

We'll need Weise in the playoffs. There's bound to be one or two injuries.
