They were pretty bad, if you ignore the "42" shots on goal they had defensive lapses and giveaways every time you turn around. Coupled with their in ability to muster much of anything on the power plays that were given to them at opportune times to get back in the game. A few shifts from the 4th line here and there and Kuli / Bozak playing well aside from that it was a lackluster (at best) performance for most of the rest of the roster.
Well it's time to push the panic button now. I thought this slide was nothing to worry about until I saw the way they came out the past two games. That early goal deflated them for the entire first period. Wouldn't be shocked if Burke rages and makes a deal soon.

Phaneuf's minutes need to be taken down a notch. Yes he is a nice offensive defenceman, he brings a solid physical edge but hes a mess in his own end. I said it the other night and got ripped by many but this guy isnt a #1 Dman because he simply doesnt know what to do defensively most of the time.
Now you 20+ posters who jumped on me last week when I suggested this team might be headed for a swoon ... get off.

Get a real goalie. Period. Watch Kipper carry this **** Flames team on his back to the playoffs while we ride out Dustavsson and Greimer to our hundreth straight 9th-12th finish. Burkey says he builds his teams from the net out and has yet to put an above average goaltender between the pipes on his watch. Time to put up.
