So the Leafs respond to a 5-0 smashing by Montreal and their 3 game losing streak by putting up another terrible effort like they have the past three games before this and lose 5-1.

Man, **** this team. I don't understand how you can play this bad in a stretch when you need to win games, especially with the upcoming schedule. It baffles me. There is no attention to detail to little stuff like winning puck on the boards and people covering their man like they are suppose to, forwards backchecking like they should be with all this speed we always talk about.

We have our captain playing some of his worst hockey as a Maple Leaf with absolutely no effort. Nobody played any defense, PP was terrible. Ugh, what an awful awful game with horrendous effort. What the hell does the coach do to get these guys going?

On a positive note, at least Bozak and Kulemin had a good game. Who knows, maybe Grabo was holding Kulemin back because he looked excellent without him.

Nicely said.
Leafs seem like a dated franchise.

Kypreos nails it on Phaneuf.

"Lack of compete", "limit his minutes", and similar good points.

well on the bright side

bozak is lighting up
and the leafs are still in 8th... as opposed to being far down the ladder and climbing up
but on the sad side, i lost $5

UGH Lets face it this team is on a sinking ship and going down fast they have the ability to pull them selves out but would just rather go down with the ship then try

leafs continue losing , its going to be harder for the leafs to make trade, other teams are going to rob the leafs, because they are desperate to make the playoffs, via burke

Absolutely this, he's an absolute mess and full of no compete. A terrible captain on the ice

With the way they played tonight - put Bozak and Kulemin together next game?

MacArthur - Grabovski - Kessel
Kulemin - Bozak - Lupul
Lazy**** - Invisible Man - Armstrong
Boyce - Steckel - Brown

This teams a joke to watch.

Its the same **** every rush. Either A) dump it in/lightly shoot it at the net
B) make a bunch of peewee passes that lead to a turnover
C) a weird combination of both that the Tin Man seems to do on every shift. ...

That wasn't pretty..

Looks like the pressure of competing for a playoff spot is getting to the team with 4 straight losses and outscored 16-5 in those games.

Bozak, kessel and Lupul played well.

Unfortunately 3 guys who arent great on the PP and are naturally not that great defensively cant carry a team.

Wilson keeps talking about this meritocracy, but I dont understand why Connolly is in the lineup.... he does nothing.

One thing I keep saying, you can say what you want about guys like Kadri and Frattin and how they still need improvement.... I have yet to see a game from those two, where they dont bring their full effort while donnining the Maple Leaf.

Phaneuf needs to be stripped of captaincy next year. Not that it means much but he is too lazy, inconsistent, constantly out of position and lets scrubs just walk around him.

He's overrated. The faster Leaf management gets it the faster we groom Gardiner to be a top pairing D.

Gunnar is TO's best defenseman by a mile.

Bozak and Gardiner deserve an applause tonight.

I have a strange feeling that this time tomorrow we will see a different Leafs team

btw, did anyone else notice that Schenn looked a little quicker than usual out there?
