Burke and Wilson combo is the oldest most experienced management duo in the NHL with decades under their belts..

Does that count for anything ??

Sit Connolly and Komisarek for the rest of the season. Same for Lombardi. Scale back Phaneuf's minutes. I can't describe how disappointed I am in Connolly, he plays with no apparent effort whatsoever. He's also terrible. I'd rather just double shift Kulemin all game then have Float-around dipsy-do entitled Connolly on the ice.

How we keep sitting Armstrong is beyond me. We were winning with him in the lineup then we sit him and get blown up 5-0 and 5-1. Doesn't take a fricking genius to recognize he's bringing something to the lineup.
Agree about bringing up Colborne and Frattin. Lombardi and Connolly are usless, especially of late. They aren't the sole reason we lose, but they certainly aren't contributing to anything positive.

Absolutely embarrassing performance against an injury riddled team.

If the Leafs lose tomorrow..you just know that Burke is going to come up with yet another fake outrage heading into Vancouver. Something that makes him the story so the spotlight is off his underwhelming squad.

I wonder who will feel the venom of his fake outrage?

He's definitely one of them. By my count he has 2 bad games for every one good. It's especially obvious how not-that-great the guy is when Gunnarsson isn't his partner, making sure at least one of the two defensemen on the ice has any sort of situational awareness.

lmao he actually said reims? and yea i wouldn't agree with either of those points, even though this loss was not solely on goaltending.

Ron Wilson : "Our defense was definitely competitive. Our PP provided us with chances, PK needs to imrpove, take out those passing lanes."

Ron Wilson: "I have decided on the starter tomorrow, but I won't tell you because I want the opposition to keep guessing."

Ron Wilson: "I think Reimer really earned his shutout tonight."

Ron Wilson: "Gustavsson too would've had a shutout if not for a couple of bounces."

This team was playing so much better when those useless plugs were injured, out of the lineup, and the kids were playing.

Even worse is when you notice that Lombo and Coaster are using up $7.75M in cap space

Edit: I miscalculated... it's $8.25M in cap space! Worse!

If this is what a young team is like, I wonder why Edmonton has great specialty teams and good team defense.

Young has nothing to do with it, it's an excuse, that I hope Burke won't try to shove on to us when we miss the playoffs, if it comes to that.
Yes it does actually. Last year schenn was playin his best hockey no? Schenn is like what 22? Give him time and proper developement he'll be just fine. Phaneuf, I admit he does make rookie mistakes at times but you have to admit he's capable o handling 25 minutes a night. Hes not gonna be your shutdown defenseman that more Gunnar job. Phaneuf has this very rare offensive talent that you don't see in alot of dman. Hes raking up point and is on pace for 50 points.

Being a young team gives you disadvantage in tight or important game. All they need is consistency and they'll be fine.

I didnt say he was lighting it up all year, i said he has been a force all year. Not only point-wise, but the guy consistently plays 25+ minutes a night of hard-nosed hockey. He has one bad game and your ready to throw him under the bus. I dont see how your Komisarek point has anything to do with Phaneuf.

The chances Burke makes a trade now is practically zero. The price will be too high if the Leafs keep losing because Burke is the one who is desperate.

Columbus isn't lining up and calling Burke about Nash, the Leafs and other teams are. Same goes for any other player we have our eyes set on.

Unless the Leafs string a couple of wins, it's going to take an overpayment to get anything significant.

Throw in Armstrong's 3 mill and Komisarek's 4.5 mill and you got 15.25 mill in dead salary.
