One area Lundqvist regressed this year

That's his shootout save %. I just read how his save % is .727 (16 of 22), while Tim Thomas's is a ridiculous .923 (12 of 13). I can't really say I blame him for any of the goals, but I believe he hasn't had a shootout shutout yet and that save % number isn't very good. He used to be the best in the league at this. Is this just a regression to the mean, bad luck, a coincidence, something more?

Wouldn't put too much stock into it. It's a small sample size to be sure...and more importantly he's stopped the ones that really count (winter classic.) Fortunately there are no shootouts in the playoffs.

6 goals against in 6 shootouts.

Pekke rinne has similar numbers in the shootout.

King has owned it when mattered most(breakaways in general too), and like BB said, no shootouts in playoffs

Don't forget losses. They are way down this year.

Depends on what the shooter does too. Small sample size anyway.
Not like it matters come playoff time.

He stopped Briere in the Winter Classic. That's good enough for me.

Really? Then I'm wrong, I thought it would be at least in the mid 80s. Maybe I just compared it to the mind blowing 12 out of 13 from Thomas.

He still cant handle the puck. Not sure why he has never imrpoved in that area. You really see the difference when Biron is in there.
Not a big deal. It's likme saying Kate Upton has a long ear lobe

His hair isn't as neat as he used to keep it either and he doesn't wear as many blue ties as he used to... What a bum

Why even post this thread? Really? He just shutout the damn Bruins and you want to bring up one thing that is a negative. UGH!

You really like to point out the negative to every situation, eh?

I'd take this Lundqvist with a 0% shootout save percentage. Come playoff time, it doesn't matter.

I made this thread before the Bruins game. But even then I don't see how that game is relevant to the shootout. I was just wondering what happened in the shootouts this year.

On a side note, Hank has put up amazing numbers over the last 10 games

.960%
~1.2 GAA
4 shutouts

When does his slump usually occur? IIRC it's February/March?

The slump is usually in December/January, but he has been consistently awesome this season so far.
