[QUOTE=SerenityRick;44205223]It's not about getting your back up his reps, it's about righting the ship and getting wins back under the belt. Claude is in the business of winning and if he feels Timmy is the guy to go with tonight, I trust him. Making ridiculous claims (not from you, per say) that Rask is going to be pouting on the bench because of this is just a waste of breath. And I absolutely hate reading about how much Rask must be pissed night in and night out when Claude goes with Thomas. Rask will have his time, he knows it, I know it, you know it, Claude knows it... But right now it's not about Rask and it's not even about Thomas. It's about getting out of this funk. So hopefully he isn't taking it as personal as some posters here are.

Very good post.. I mean if you think so far this season, How many goals were off Bruins players??? I watched a bunch of them... How many goals were scored with our Dman standing idle in front of the net while the opposing team had 2 to three players rushing in? i would have to say alot

I'm not for or against either goalie, the facts are facts and rask doesn't get a fair shake.

FYI - Here's his comments on the Finnish article you've referenced:

Quote:
After practice Friday, Rask didn't exactly back off the quotes in the story, but he said the whole thing was lost in translation, a misinterpretation.

"That Google Translate sucks," Rask said, shaking his head. "I said 'Obviously I don't want to be sitting on the bench my whole career and I like it here, but obviously I want to play and sometimes you play a great game and then next game you can't play and sometimes it gets frustrating but you don't show it for the team.'

"I am happy and I feel good [this season] for the most part. I'm playing more and I played good the first part of the year but lately I've had a couple tough games and let it slip away a bit there. But I think it's been a good year for me and our team for the most part."
You can read the full article here and the original discussion thread here.

they are playing a similar amount of games each as they did last year in the Stanley Cup winning season

And again, our goalies aren't the problem. It's the guys up front not being able to provide goal support.
I agree with the goalies not being the problem, I just think Rask could be used as a way to help the team out of the funk. They've been riding Thomas lately, and the team's been stagnant. Maybe going with Rask for a few games would inject the team. Change could be good for them.

Anyways, it's Timmy tonight. Would have preferred Tuukka, but there's never really a bad option with this team.

.500 hockey at this stage of the season isn't the worst thing ever, but it would be nice if we could win all the key games from now on like the ones against division opponents. Hopefully by mid-March or so (if not before) the team will be back to its better form.

I'll go out and say i am not happy, at all, with the thomas start tonight...

Tuukka has every right to leave this team this summer. he isn't even being played this year when he's been equal to thomas for most of the season imo. I feel bad for the kid.
