Winnipeg - Vancouver

Schnieder
Raymond
2nd

Bogosian
Mason

Not sure how Pavelec has been but I have read from a few Jets fans that they would be interested in both Vancouver players. At worst it gives them a pretty good young tandem. Once one or the other establishes themselves the other could be traded from assests.

Terrible value and no consideration of team needs.

Terrible value for who? Like I said, I have seen on Jets forums that they would be interested in both players and I'm pretty sure Van could use a top 4 rh dman.

I'd do it. Giving up MayRay and Schneids for a young defenseman like Bogosian who could stay in Vancouver for the next decade could be worth it.

Which Jets fans said that they'd be interested in Schneider? I don't think Winnipeg would give up a guy like Bogosian for an area that they are already quite strong in. Big pass.

I think you'll see Jets fans saying no and Canucks fans saying yes, for the most part.

I think Winnipeg says absolutely not. Which Winnipeg fans have told you they'd like Schneider? Not once have I ever seen one want him, especially for Bogosian.

Jets fans have been insistent that Bogosian will not be moved for anything short of overpayment, and this is not overpayment.

Such a sad proposal. Nothing Vancouver gives to them fills to a need, and Bogosian creates a huge one. I'd love it as a Nucks fan, but it's just totally unrealistic.

I don't know what C2B is on about, unless he's repping for WPG - Canucks would love to have Bogo, a whole year before RFA no less. This is exactly the kind of deal I hope we do in the summer.
And WPG could get better in net, thats for sure.

This X 10000. Good to see some Nucks fans are actually thinking.

I would think Tanev would have to go to the Jets.

Why would Winnipeg be after Schneider like that, with Pavelec hanging around? Doesn't make any sense for the Jets.

Exactely. There have been many proposals for Bogosian and the response from Jet fans is always the same. On the Jets boards Bogo is pretty much universally believed to be the most untouchable Jet. Interestingly enough Pavs is right up there as untouchable as well...pretty much gives you an idea that goaltending is not a need.

Fair to say both sides understand this is well beyond realistic. Let's all move along.

I have no issue with getting rid of Bogosian, but not for that package. That does not address the team's needs at all.

A young top pairing defenseman who still has a ton of upside for a goalie they don't need and a player that Canucks fans put in every proposal? No thanks. We see threads every few days where people have figured out that Bogosian is good and want him on their team but this is probably the worst proposal for him yet.

I haven't seen any posts from Jets fans wanting either of those players. Despite what some Canucks fans may think, Schneider is not a proven starter yet - he's a good young backup. Guess what? Pavelec is younger and better.

I'd counter with Oduya for Hodgson

Seems like Vancouver fans are trying to catch up with Toronto fans on one sided trades proposals lately where it fills their need and no need for the other team.

I think you can see that Vancouver fans have unabashedly called the above proposal one-sided and stupid.

I know Toronto, Montreal and Vacouver all have large fan bases so they are more likely to have more fans make bad trade proposals so I didn't mean any thing to offend anyone.

Honestly I'd rather get Mark Stuart from Winnipeg then spend a lot of assets to get Bogosian. Stuart is exactly the type of D the Canucks need to complete their blueline. He's up there among the league leaders in blocked shots and hits.

Would the Jets be willing to deal him?

Doubtful, he's the vet in the backend that guys like Bogosian need. I would think that Stuart and Bogosian are likely the last two Dmen that the Jets look at moving.
