Caps raised their tickets 8% for next season. That's the fifth straight year with an increase, including a pair of 20+% raises in there. Pittsburgh blew up their prices with the new building. And the Rangers have had a couple of big jumps in recent seasons.
Of course, the Flyers were No. 6 in average ticket price in 2008, according to Team Market Research, ahead of all those teams at that time. Heading into this season, with last spring's increases, the Flyers were 7th.
I was talking to a nurse when my mom got her hip replacement done and he said he paid around $12,000 for his season tickets, he was six rows up from the ice and right behind the Flyers bench. That's just freaking insane.
Everything is going up, but nobody is making any more money. sucks. i dont have season tickets, i only go to about 7 or 8 games a year but my dream of having them in the next couple of years is dissapating quick. sucks.

I honestly don't know how "regular" people afford to go to games regularly. I've got a good job and am obviously as big of a fan as you can find, and still I can't justify going to more than a couple games a year
I go to one NHL game a year if that, and those tickets are given to me. I wouldn't spend any money going to a game, I'd rather spend $20 to see an OHL game. You're much closer to the action and the price is way better.
