Timmy needs a break. He forgot where the crease was most of this game. It was getting a little scary there- with TT having his back to the play so often. Thankfully he didn't wander out too far during the SO.
C'mon boys- time to get on a roll.....
Lauri from Tacoma
You must have loved TT during the finals then...
I will say give Tuukka the 'Peg game. He got unlucky up there last game. Lost a tough one 2-1 on a goal that he probably would want back but its hard to blame a guy for only giving up 2. That was also the Seguin suspension game.
I am somewhere between disgusted and worried with and about this team. Kudos to Chara and Krejci for playing through pain but other than that they were sloppy, lazy soft and undisciplined. Ps somebody should tell Mr. seguin he won't break if he actually uses his body on the forecheck.
I hate to be negative after a win, but...****.
I can't believe they got out-hit by the habs and it seemed like Timmy was fighting the puck a lot.
That being said, the shootout woes from last season are definitely fixed and they had a really good OT period i thought.
Not that it had much influence on the final outcome, but man, the referees tonight were an absolute embarrassment. The Seidenberg Ghost trip and the Boychuck interference penalty on a guy who had posession of the puck were seriously worthy of a repremand. Calls like that simply should not happen at this level. Not to mention a host of questionable goalie interference calls. Very frustrating game to watch for many reasons.

Seriously, when is the last time the Bruins did out hit a team ?

I feel that part of Seguin's game from last year is creeping back in at this point. He has been on the minus side of things a lot more recently and hasn't brought any physicality to the ice. Not that he is going to be a big presence but like you said a little body on the forecheck doesn't hurt.

Also, he cannot shoot the puck, he fans on everything (except shootouts).
Dupont called for Rask to start tonight and vs. Winnipeg. It would be a good idea to get TT rested because he just didn't look good tonight. They were fortunate that Montreal fanned on some huge opportunities.
yep. B's got lucky. That shot in the 3rd that caught Chara up around his throat was one of many examples where Timmy was lost. He wasn't anywhere near his own crease. Habs missed a lot of wide open nets tonight.

Biggest prob is not stopping on pucks, and when he wiffs, which has been a lot. That's effort, mental. Bergeron is the guy on that line who jars the puck loose.
Other than Bergeron, there isn't guy on this roster right now who is immune from criticism.

Early in the 1st the refs couldn't get a call right. The good thing here is that the Bruins kept their cool, somewhat that is.
With the goalie interference penalties they knew of both teams recent history so that was the correct action IMO.
The refs were using the best Depend Brand has to offer tonight that is for sure.
He is maybe saying Thomas comes up big when he has to.
thomas had a great interview with mcguire after the game. when asked why he's so successful in shootouts this year, he said, "because i finally convinced the coaches to let me sit them out in practice...i'm better when i don't practice them." sounds like typical timmy - so odd.
Ugh. I've never been so frustrated after a win. Seriously fuming at the refs, the league, and the team. In no particular order.
My rage right now is mild, but if a suspension happens after this, I might lose it. I am trying to stay away from the main boards, but curiosity gets the best of me.

Yet for chances like those they got chances where Chara gives a guy a puck on a silver spoon for the tying goal.
Last night we were the one's with those chances and couldn't get lucky. The hockey gods even things out eventually.
