I can understand why some would have been skeptical about the WEC lightweights. For years it was just Henderson, Cerrone & Varner fighting each other over and over again. It was hard to gauge them when they weren't fighting anyone new.

I think Henderson's performance, as well as that of Cerrone, Diaz, Overeem, Werdum, Hunt, Henderson, etc, is evidence of the fact that there is excellent talent outside of the UFC.

Hopefully guys like Melendez make their way into the octagon soon.

Is there any word on when the UFC expects to return to Japan? It would be nice to see them hold events in Japan and Brazil about once a year.

I wonder if a TUF Japan is in the cards as well.
