Well, we're 6 and 7 points of of the playoffs at the moment, and all of the teams we are chasing (except Ottawa) have played fewer games then us.
With Boston coming into town tomorrow (we've played them tough, but they are a very good team), if we don't win tonight we could really find ourselves pretty much on life support by Saturday night (Washington and Florida play each other on Friday, Washington plays TB on Saturday, and Toronto plays Vancouver on Saturday).
I hope we get a full 60 minute, entire team effort tonight.
After the tepid effort at home on Tuesday, I expect another goal challenged lackluster effort. Mentally, the Jets have cashed their checks are heading for the exit.
Yup. Which is precisely why I expect they'll win today.
If there's anything this team is good at, it's teasing you with that faint glimmer, that they can claw back when everything seems lost. Then as soon as they get you thinking "hey, this team is actually starting to put something together!", it's back to the abyss for them.
I'll throw in a 3-2 Jets prediction and hope it doesn't get ugly. I will also vote for switching Kane and Ladd, and moving Buffy to forward on the PP. Not like these are earth shattering ideas. I would also start Mason tonight and throw Pavs to the wolves tomorrow. Maybe that's a losing strategy.
OT but did you guys see the pics from the Jets reading at the schools Monday? Amazed Ladd and Little don't have huge jump in their step, check out the pics on Facebook (can't post from work, sorry). Hello, teacher.
Any word on who will step in to replace him? Jones or Flood?
Tonight might just be one game but the Jets are only 4 pts ahead of Buffalo for second last in the East and have played two more games. I don't like their chances against the Bruins tomorrow considering their record on the second of back-to-back nights. Tonight is a must win if they don't want to be in 14th in a few days. They're not catching Columbus for last overall but Carolina and Edmonton are not out of the question.
