Make me an offer! (Proposals for your team)

Figure we can have an offers/reponses thread, so here goes

Washington Caps: Need #2 Center, with at least 2 years on his contract. Trading UFA Alex Semin who can be an explosive winger.
Evgeni Kuznetsov(prospect) also considered possible if the center coming back is young enough to have 3 years remaining . As an add on, one of the Caps two first round picks could be in play.

Probable Trading Partner: Either a struggling team that needs a changeup and thinks Semin would improve their offense, or a failing team that just needs to clear cap space and start over and would also like another draft pick.

Before devils fans start to offer zajac, you might as well give them parise to. Cause if zajac is traded, parise is as good as gone. IMO. So with zajac not available I think the devils have nothing to offer as far as center goes

A top pairing defenseman that can QB the PP and play decent at even strength.

Dream world that would be Suter to NJ

More realistically it's Visnovsky.

Grabovski would be such a nice piece for the caps, but Leafs fans would want Kaberle money coming back, and he'd probably flock back to Toronto in the offseason.

To Toronto:
Colorado's first round draft pick
Kusnetsov

To Washington:
Grabovski
Conditional 2nd (If Grabovski doesn't resign, 4th if he does.)

Your coach for the Avs coach. No strings attached, just take Sacco and we'll owe you one later.

Avs are good for it, just ask the Bruins and when we took Hunwick off their hands after the solid they did us by sending Bourque over.

**** no! An upcoming UFA of his calibre is not worth a top-5 prospect in the world and a top-10 pick.

Wow. This trade proposal is absurd.

Kuznetsov and a top 10 pick?

How about Plekanec for Kunetsov, Semin(salary dump) and the Avs 1st rounder?

Was going to propose that. Plekanec would be great for the Caps. Kuznetsov is what the Habs need going forward and Pleks is what the Caps need

Conservatively, Canucks could use depth on the blueline and in the bottom 6, with toughness and mobility the premiums (scoring would be nice too, but I'd put it 3rd.)

More aggressively, they could use a top 4 upgrade on the blueline, to not have to rely on Salo so much. Would need to be a pretty good RHS top-4, with toughness and scoring.

Trading chips are the oft-mentioned Schneider, Raymond, Ballard, picks, prospects, but others could be made available if the deal were right (read Weber, Suter, Bogo, Hedman, etc..)

Capspace is around a mil.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yeah, that's what I think. It would be hard to let Tomas go, but if the Habs decide to rebuild/retool, we have to start somewhere.

Prefer a different salary dump.

Plekanec and Gill for Kuznetsov, Perreault, Schultz, Hamrlik, and Washington 1st.

This one is more like a fantasy league trade. In the real world contracts, uncertainty, and salary would ensure that it never happened. That said, I'm ready to have this post quoted in a few days to prove me wrong.

both teams have the cap room to do it. I'm sure Ryan would enjoy going home, and how could Parise complain about being on a line with either Getz/Perry or Selanne.

you do realize Filppula makes less and provides more offense right?

He's a pending free agent in line for a massive pay raise. We can afford the two of those currently on the roster, not a third.

Parise is making 6 million this year. at most he'll get 8 a year, but I'm wouldn't be surprised at all if he didn't get it. Anaheim has 14 guys under contract next year and 23 million of cap space. they would have no problem fitting Parise into the payroll if they re-signed him.

Is there another Penner I'm not thinking of? Because I'll speak for Kings fans and say they'd love to dump Penner off to any team that wanted him.
