Kurt Angle arrested for DUI (again)

TNA star Kurt Angle was arrested on a Driving While Intoxicated charge early Friday morning in Texas. The arrest occurred after the TNA Impact TV tapings in Wichita Falls, Tex.

Quote:
Angle was booked about an hour outside of Wichita Falls in Decatur, Texas at the Wise County Jail.

According to jail records, Angle was charged with his second DWI offense and released on $2,000 bond. After posting bond, local authorities will schedule a trial date to determine Angle's punishment, if any.

In September 2011, Angle was arrested on a Driving Under the Influence charge in Virginia. Angle was eventually fined $1,500 when the case went before a judge.

I'm Drunk - It's True It's Damn True

from tmz.com:

TNA superstar Kurt Angle has been arrested for DWI again, TMZ has learned -- his 4th alcohol-related arrest in 6 years.

According to law enforcement, Angle was busted Thursday night in Wise County, Texas following a live taping of "Impact" for Spike TV. Details surrounding the arrest are unclear.

Angle has a long history with alcohol-related arrests.

In 2007, he was arrested for DUI in Pennsylvania. He was then arrested twice in 2011 -- once for being drunk behind the wheel of his parked car, and once for DWI.

Angle pled guilty to being drunk while parked, but he got off on the other charges.

We reached out to Angle's reps for comment. So far, no word back.

I still contend that Angle could very well be the next big wrestling tragedy.

Its no secret that the guy had major drug issues especially in the WWE when other steroid monkeys would look at him and go woah, that's extreme dude.

That many DUI charges in a short period of time, at some point the hammer has to come down on the guy.

TNA should reach out to WWE to get him paid for help and soon.

WWE will pay for rehab for any current or former talent. It's been their policy for years.

The real tragedy here is that this man still has a driver's license. Seriously.

I will simply never be able to comprehend these athletes and celebrities getting done drink driving. You can't afford a taxi? your employer wouldn't immediately send someone to collect you if you called them? hell you could afford a limo to come get you I'm sure.

kurt, there is nothing wrong with drinking some beers, but you can't drink so many that you operate a vehicle which becomes a danger to others!

now i do believe atleast 1 of his DUI arrests was thrown out of court..just be glad you aren't getting these in california man.

Hope he gets better. He needs to release his demons as soon as possible.

We've seen this before. DUI stops, drunken rants on Twitter. Man needs help.

Oh I know, I guess I mis typed but having TNA and WWE working together to get Angle better would have been a powerful message to him.

I'm glad to see he's going to rehab, I hope he gets well.

Rehab is just a cop out. He thinks he is better than everyone else, and that alcohol doesn't affect him like everyone else. He wont quit drinking and driving until he kills someone or kills himself, just like most alcoholics.

That's a rather shallow approach. Are you speaking from experience when you say "most alcoholics"?
