He drove up to the interview on a harley. How can you say no to someone like that?

And don't get me wrong, I have plenty of concerns about the o-line as well. We are still planning to use Glenn ****ing January (who was average to bad last year, a VAST improvement for him) and bunch of rookies/1st year starters. Awesome.

Not real confident in this team. We still have the best secondary in the league, and the best d-coordinator, but everywhere else I see plenty of question marks. Oh well, go Bombers!
MLB is a concern but I think the interior of the defensive line will be fine. Bombers will use an import there so it's not like they are limited in their options starting a non-import. Mack has done a great job recruiting from the U.S. and has already brought in some great talent like Fritz and Turner - I think Vega was picked off another team's roster. Plus Brown was rotated in and out of the defense for several games last season. It's not like he was a full-time starter anymore.

OVerall, I think the Bomber's defense will be just as good as last year's. especially with the same secondary returning.

I like the Bomber's new jerseys (or whatever colours they were wearing during their MTL game)

Also, 22-10 but 5 sacks on QBs. OL looks like it didn't get the needed improvements.

I think a couple of those sacks were caused by bad snaps. So not your typical O-Line getting beat by a defensive player type sack.

The favourite is a guy who has not played in 3 years, one guy who was considered a bust and as Doug Brown was saying is not really a good size for a center and the 3rd option has played very very sparingly at center. I am expecting lots of bad snaps early in the year. Not to say for sure that it won't work, but there will be plenty of growing pains.

Could be, I don't know. Just trying to say there is a difference in perception if you think your team gave up 5 legitimate sacks where the D busted through the line and laid out the QB, compared to 3 sacks like the above and a couple of bad snaps where the QB had to jump on the ball.

WINNIPEG -- The Winnipeg Blue Bombers say their new stadium will not open this season.

The team says it will play all of this year's games at the old Canad Inns Stadium.
As expected...

I said last fall it wouldnt be open all year.

Not surprised in the least.

They had a way over aggressive timeline to complete it.

Ah well. One more year at the stadium can't hurt, although I would've liked to see the new field.

...here's hoping I can still get some tickets working at Investors Group.

I'm more amazed that they released this news this Friday instead of next Friday during the draft when it'd be looked over and/or forgotten.

After five seasons in Montreal, linebacker Diamond Ferri's stay with the Alouettes has come to an end.

On Friday, the club released the linebacker.
Dirtest POS in the league gets his due...good riddance, I very rarely say I want to players to stay gone, but I hope Ferri stays the hell out of the CFL. The guy is an embarrassment, at least once a game he trys to injure another player. Very glad to see him cut...

I do understand this was just a preseason game but I am worried about the OL, growing pains not-withstanding, primarily because we had issues last year and I don't see any improvement personally

I do hope it was just due to bad snaps though...OK for preseason, but come regular season we need to be representin' our new/renewed "W" logo with some W's on field

Sucks to see it won't open this year, but you don't want to mess up the team's rhythm either in a stadium they're not used to. We'll have to slug out those road wins though...4 tough games coming up. Lots of team uncertainty this year because of all the personnel changes.

I'm happy Garth came out and said this, and I'm happy we're not rushing.

He was dirty for sure. I liked the Als but didn't like this guy.

Joe Lo is making noise for the Stamps! I know he kept getting injured but he's one player I would have liked to see stay with the Bombers, sad that we cut him (but in Mack we trust)

Happy to see him turning heads in Calgary.

Cuts should be revealed today. Any guesses? I think we're going to keep Washington. So much competition at defence...

I know it's a preseason game, but the way Burris is playing tonight highlights for me why I wanted the Bombers to go after him in the offseason. He is going to have a chip on his shoulder all year.
