From what I saw it looked accidental more than anything. Neither player looked like they knew contact was coming till the last second.

I don't think there was anything reviewable about the hit. I thought the Salo suspension was 100% justified - but I'm glad there was no "pile on"...because I thought this hit was clean.

I love the crying that the hit was in the last couple seconds of the period.

Q: How long is a period of play in the NHL?
A: 20 minutes

Q: How much time had expired in the period at the time of the hit
A: 19:58

Q: Can you **** off then?

exactly, one of the first things they teach you as a little kid is play until you hear the whistle, or in this case the siren.

The Bruins edgy play has been sitting in Shanahan's "in basket" for just about as long as the slump has been going on. I think they're afraid to play a little chippy because they know the Vancouver and Montreal media will get out the drums and Shanny will start doing a tattoo on the team.

When the Canadian Olympic Dive Team can out hit the Bruins, Boston has a serious problem.

Lyrical you are such a reasonable person. WTF are you doing cheering for the Habs? You need to leave the Dark Side and join us. Seriously.
