Bah, just when Z was getting his mojo back...and a rough stretch of games is coming up over the next week.

We've won 21 straight at home, I really hope we can manage one game with Z or Datsyuk or Lidstrom.

I just hope it's not his back again. Those take some considerable time to recuperate.

Zetterberg is going to be traded for Kubina. That's why he's hold out.

How the hell did Z get hurt on his day off? Did it happen during the last game? Streak doesnt matter anymore. We are playing Nashville, a team that if you didnt notice is breathing right down the Wings neck. They need a regulation win tomorrow night to keep a good lead on the central division and keep the Canucks at bay.

It happend during the first shift of the last game, but it's an injury you can play through in a game because you're warm, good blood circulation, when you wake up the day after you're sore as hell...

Pretty sure it's his leg. Injured on that awkward hit by Eriksson along the boards.

Why don't they just do some shoveling with the top lines for the one game.

Homer - Datsyuk - Bertuzzi
Franzen - Filppula - Hudler

Why drag Mr gritty six goals into it.

Well this should certainly test the home dominance run. If Nashville cannot put together a better game now (I realize they won a game but have been dominated in each contest) than they have no chance at beating the Wings this year.

I know people will hate it, but Homer can slide back into the top 6, Rinne hates him, one of the goalies he has really bothered over the years. Some guys handle it better, I realize Homer is effective on almost all goalies, but he really seems to bother Rinne to a higher level.

Showcasing Tatar for a trade probably.

They're looking for players like Moen, Gaustad... doubt they would cost Tatar

I consider spending every shift pinned in our own zone pretty terrible, yeah

It's not like the Wings get good production from their bottom lines or defense.

They can go watch Tatar in AHL. Don't believe any showcase scenario.

He is just getting his chance to play, because last time he was called up he missed the game.

I don't really see Gator as a 2nd line center, but who knows, maybe he plays over his head with a historic streak on the line.

I'd love to see that force who was just flying around hitting absolutely everything that moved... was that last playoff's incarnation of Gator? I know it went on for a while but I don't quite remember when it was.

I think something like Franzen - Filppula - Hudler would work on the second line.

Datsyuk and Bertuzzi can carry whoever gets put on their line.(why not Tatar?).

Well, at least it doesn't sound too serious, hopefully he's back on Sunday for San Jose. Say what you will about Zetterbeard for the better part of the season, but you can't deny he eats up quite a few minutes every game.

Actually, doesn't he still have the most time per game out of our forwards? Or is that Datsyuk?

Both at 19 minutes. Too lazy to look up who has more seconds.

Crazy that that first line really doesn't get scored on much(Datsyuk's). Crazy good, not crazy unexpected.

I like that Tatar's up. He's looked good the few times we've seen him in a Wings uniform. I just hope he gets more than a few minutes on the bottom line.

I’m guessing we’ll see this for tomorrow:

Bertuzzi-Datsyuk-Franzen
Hudler-Abdelkader-Filppula
Mursak-Helm-Miller
Tatar-Emmerton-Holmstrom

Abby centering the 2nd line, urgh. Why not at least Flip??

Z has Pav by 9 seconds, which is no surprise. Datsyuk is typically a quick changer, while Z tends to extend some of his shifts. Datsyuk actually pisses me off sometimes when he decides to change while the team has pressure in the offensive zone. I wish he would be more selfish at times.
