And you know-he could have avoided that. Not like it was Pevs coming at him full speed or anything.

This team is going to suck with Pevs and Horton out (and not to mention Marchand if Shanahan decides to have a little chat). Caron looked awful tonight and now he and Hennessey (?) will be in the line up for the extended road trip. Team is in big trouble especially with the defense looking horrid.

Leafs with 2 cheapshots in 30 seconds. Armstrong with a blindside headshot on Hemsky and Komisarek crosschecks Belanger from behind into the boards, but you won't see anyone make a big deal about it on the main board.

Surprised this isn't 10 pages.

More posts a/b Marchand and his "clip" than this?

McQuaid had a guy going by him, reactionary, glorified trip.

Gill is coming IN on a near static Peverly WITH his leg clearly planted, unnecessary, and yeah........DIRTY.

crickets.

Unbelievable.

Gotta love the main board. Double digit pages on how dirty Marchand is. Gill knee hit thread locked after 3 pages.

it is getting really sickening, I am so frustrated by the whole thing this year I need to turn off the computer and go outside for a bit and maybe punch a wall or something

Just watched the video(courtesy of dafoomie) and pevs knee looked bad. The last clip showed his knee practically bend back. Hopefully its not as bad as it looks.

Good news is that he got up and skated to the bench under his own power.
At least Pevs wasn't called for a penalty, ala Horton/Sestito

Can't imagine him being good to go for a few games at least, especially considering his pre-existing (what I can only assume to be) lower body injury.

Completely expected that Forum refs choose to ignore plays like this while penalizing Boychuk for finishing his check shoulder-to-shoulder on a puck carrier. Good grief.

I stand corrected... Was Hal Gill and it looked malicious. Doesn't fit his character though.

I'm gonna play the optimist on this one. It didn't look like his leg was planted, so it might just be a bruise or a charleyhorse. Certainly hope so

I'm sure Hal was....but that's because he's actually jesus to them at this point..you know, with the rooting for injuries and all.

Far more issues with a "hit" or "play" like Gill`s on Pevs, absolutely no reason for it, I don`t give a rats arse about him being a clean player, it was a dirty play, and by a vet at that. Man, stuff like this pisses me off, only a team outta the playoff picture, and our most hated rivals do stuff like this.

Those refs were gawd awful, both ways, but of course, being in the Bell Center, a little friendlier to the Habs, the NHL has a huge issue with an overwhelming abundance of underqualified refs, and this ain`t just the Bruins games here, it`s every game.

Refereeing isn`t easy, and mistakes happen, but it`s looking more and more like half of these jackwagons wouldn`t pass a rule book test, really hoping this injury isn`t more than a deep bruise to his thigh

Of course they are not going to show their golden boy trying to kill Marchand with a head targeted hit intending to injure.
But it's ok because it's Marchand?
BS

So let me understand this.
If you are short you can never throw a hip check, even if you make contact at the hip with the other guy and especially if your name is Marchand.
That about cover it?
So if we go with revisionist history so popular now, was Bourque the master of the hip check or clipping?

Wow. That Gill knee is awful.

Does anyone have a replay on the Subban on Marchand incident?

Yup. Bergeron just said the same thing on the Hub. Peverley went back home and will not re-join the team on the trip. He's out for a while.
