The Houston Aeros are coming to my neck of the woods and I have tentative plans to chat with Josh Harding. If you'd like to list some questions you'd like asked, I'll see what I can do to get them answered.
Here's what I'm wondering...at last year's WJC, we all know what happened with Fleury in goal. I saw Josh in Finland, personally - watched him practice. In my opinion....and in the opinion of MANY who were there, Harding should have been in goal. No telling what may have happened for Canada, had that been the case. For whatever reason Fleury just didn't have his usual stuff. Anyway, so what I wanna know is, does JOSH think he should have been in goal? [and I know he won't want to answer with a definitive yes, so as not to offend MAF and whoever]....but I'd really like to know what he thought at the time.
And sticking with that topic....any bad blood between he and O'Sullivan?
I'd be interested in hearing how the NHL draft went for him. Where he was, what he was doing and his first thoughts on being taken by the Wild.
Also, ask him what his first thoughts were when he got in an AHL locker room for the first time.
I'd be curious to know what's been his biggest surprise so far about playing for the Aeros. What's the biggest misconception he had going in... about the team, the AHL level, or just Houston in general? Or has everything been pretty much as expected?
