Rest him against Columbus. He could probably use it.

Thank Toews.

Although, I wouldn't mind if they rested him vs. Columbus.

That would be a good option, his injury looked painfull as hell. You have to imagine he's been on painkillers since Sunday, and there's no way for a guy to be 100% when on painkillers.

"I'd rather just deal with the pain (than take medication)." "I was disappointed it was just 3 stitches. That's nothing." Dude's a warrior.

Though count me among those who wouldn't mind if he rested for a game. Don't want to burn him out or aggravate the injury.

Also, praise Toews that Pavelski doesn't have a concussion/PCS or anything. That also would've been catastrophic.

I like dealing with pain than taking meds too. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I didn't take any vicodin. I'm a warrior!!!

Looks like he's going through the pain WITHOUT painkillers.

I had an upside down wisdom tooth (not joking, completely upside down, dentist said he'd never seen anything like it) and they had to do surgery and remove it and a large infected cyst that hard formed below it, which meant carving out a fair amount of jaw.

They gave me Percocet. I never took it. Just tylenol heh.

Wuss.

Vicodin did nothing for me. I was disappointed. Screw you, House, for raising my expectations.

Big sigh. But I'd also let him rest versus Columbus. Without him and Murray, our two top-4 left-handed defensemen, our two top-4 defensive defensemen, we wouldn't be able to really do well against top-tier teams. But against Columbus who I think is only second to LA for worst offense, we should be fine.

So versus Columbus, what about :
Boyle-White
Braun-Burns
Demers-Vandermeer

I like that 3rd pairing anyway, it's the top-4 that I don't know how it would all go along but oh well.

Would be what I would like to see. Burn with the heaviest minutes, like against Detroit.

Yeah, I also just thought after posting it that I'd still want White on our 3rd pairing, screw evening it, he'll face low competition against Columbus as their 3rd and 4th line aren't dangerous at all. So Vandermeer-Boyle, Demers/Braun with Burns and White with other one of the young guys.

Boyle with Vandy and White both. You trying to get him killed before the playoffs ..

Vandermeer-Braun maybe?

Well, if we rolled two Boyles on the third pairing, they'd probably end up with the same amount of ice time one Boyle on the top pairing would.

Imagine Boyle out there for 45+ minutes a night. At some point he'd just stop, lay down on the ice, and go to sleep.
