"Hopefully you guys can invite your friends for next game, so we can have more people [here]." -Mike Ribeiro to crowd after Dallas win.

Ouch.

This Kings-Coyotes game is really chippy. I like seeing divisional games with real dislike in them. Three fights (none of them staged) and the first period isn't even over.

Dallas is a good market. The fans come out when they have a winner there.

I like Calgary, and Dallas. Not a big fan of Calgary, but Kiprusoff is amazing! Big fan of him.

I hope they both make it into the playoffs. Minnesota GTFO, and stay out! Colorado is too hot, and cold for me. If they make it in the playoffs they get swept in the first round. They could also SWEEP the opponent in the first round. That's how Colorado is. The most inconsistent team in the league. Just roller coaster pace of back, and forth. You never know what to expect with them. When they feel like turning it on they win. When they feel like not coming to play the lose, and stay in a slump.

Unless Los Angeles slumps bad only one of those two out of Calgary, and Dallas will get in. Phoenix might not be able to, and if they don't Calgary or Dallas will take that spot. Just one of them though. Not really both.

This has been an ongoing problem with the LA clock. They really need to fix it. Either that or have a secondary clock.

Kruger said it on the Holik podcast. If you watch the clock long enough you'll see a second go by real slow, and then the next go by fast to immediately catch up to where the real time is. I know exactly what he means. I tend to not concentrate on the clock when the game is going on. If you ever have on a game you don't care about much or it's slow in action check it out. He's right I see it right now in the LA game. I've noticed it in the buildings before too on the board.

They also have 4th least goals against in the league too. 2nd in the Conference.

That's really what's saving them.

The great Mike Richards, with 28pts in 50 games, will lead them to the promise land! Much better overall player than parise....Minus the letter of course.

Playing for Philly does wonders for your numbers.

That, and LA's offensive system is hot garbage.

Meh, he's superior to parise in every aspect of the game. Not to mention he led the flyers on that magical run in '10. It was a one man show.

Wait, Ribero's getting on his 'own' crowd there? And people thought Zach's comments were a travesty to mankind

Ribeiro has always been a punk, I'm not too surprised.

Come on Smith, shutout time baby.

Love how proactive he is with the puck, although he certainly looks like he's laboring when he plays the puck. I'm never sure if he's going to make a good play with the puck until he makes it.

One issue is his rebound control on low shots. He has a tendency to leave juicy rebounds on shots that are only an inch or two off the ice. Thankfully he has forwards who contribute like animals in the defensive zone thanks to Tippett.

yeah he scares me too sometimes. he's not as natural with the puck as marty but he is the closest to him in terms of puck handling that i can think of.

Brown takes a very badly timed penalty. Smith gets his shutout.

Nobody's as natural with the puck as Marty. Hell, half of the Devils' defense isn't as natural with the puck as Marty.

Marty makes the best outlet passes from our own end bar none. He can put the puck on the tape of forwards on the far blueline and can lob passes to streakers. What a QB he'd be.

Brown took a dumb penalty, but it was for the fantasy team so I'm ok

Smith tried for the empty net at the end, but didn't quite get it.
