Wow, if that doesn't kiss Radulov's butt, I don't know what does. Very, very flattering article. Thanks HG.

As an Oiler fan, I was hoping for Radulov at 14, but KLo had other ideas.

Love the competitiveness, work ethic and attitude.

Ah, now thats an article to warm a hockey-starved Pred fans heart! Maybe, just maybe, he will live up to Redline's preranking of third overall for the draft, and come to be one of Nashville's first homegrown snipers (preferrably with Shishkanov tagging along).

One more thing. Its good to see that he is eager to get a contract with the team. Hopefully we can get him locked up (and bulked up), here in Milwaukee sooner rather than later....or better yet on the GEC itself! Realistically, though, I'm thinking he has 2-3 years before he will be able to step into our lineup.

Absolutely, especially when compared against the stereotype of skilled Russian forwards. Hopefully Radulov can develop his game here and give us another sniper that doesn't forget to skate past our blue line.

man too bad there's no emoticon for woody. that makes me super excited thinking about having this kid in our system.

Oh....OT but as enoch said a while ago sports season at rivergate (and possibly the ones at cool springs and hickory hollow) have jerseys with names for $80 and with no names for $45. I bought a small blank 3rd and there were some left. there were also smalls-xxl's for lots of the players!

I'm not SNA, but now that I think of it, I see alex following shishkanov's route of one year of the Q, AHL (for probably a season with some call ups maybe), and then he should be ready for the NHL. I'm guessing we'll see him 2006-2007 at earliest.

two years in the Q might be ideal for him, but do you think he could make the jump to the ahl after this year? I guess it really boils down to where he will benefit the most by being there.

i'm with the 'one more year in the Q then at least a year in the AHL' crowd. We're in no hurry, anymore.

I can definitely see that line of logic especially considering the current abundance of forwards in milwaukee. With all those guys there (gamache, haydar, shishkanov, upshall, hrkac, fiddler, etc...assuming they're all still in milwaukee), he'd probably not get as much ice time as he needs. So, therefore, you might be right that the Q is where he needs to be for one more year.

He needs to bulk up, and I can't see him adding the 20 or so pounds he needs, as well as develop to the NA game for around 2 years (as others have pointed out).

Can he even be in the AHL next year? Does the CHL star rule apply to Euros? This is assuming that NHL teams keep adopting the star rule (and so far, they have).

If the CHL star rule is in effect, he can't go anywhere but overseas next year (other than being in the NHL). He's a full year younger than Shish was during his rookie season (Shish stayed in Russia the year following his draft) and is not old enough to play in the AHL next year (if old CHL rules still apply).

I completely forgot that shish had that extra year in Russia as compared to alex. and as far as the rules go, I think you're right. he might not even be eligible to play in the ahl next year anyways.

Just a note, Radulov is in action tonight (6pm CST I think) against the Cataractes and tommorrow night against the Huskies (6pm as well).

Seriously though, I haven't been able to see any of Rads games over in Russia or in the Q. The only time I have ever seen Radulov was in rookie camp.

He didn't put up good numbers in the game that I can recall. I think in the first game he notched an assist, but didn't play well defensively (atleast, I think that's what the numbers suggest) and in the second game, he received limited ice time.
