But Grabovski definitely makes the second line tick.
well Kessel's been healthy and at the top of his game more often this season. A bit more chemistry between him and Bozak as well. But when I get a chance to watch Leafs games I find teams have a harder time containing Grabovski's line then Bozak's. (perhaps it's because teams have their top defence pairing against Kessel). But Kulemin, Grabovski and MacArthur can each score and set up plays (they've slowed down a bit this season I'll give you that) which makes it that much harder. Watching them play - it's like magic (I was amazed last season. hoping they can show a bit more of that now and soon.)
Yeah I know math, I'm just telling you the Caps will get in via the division winner or not at all. That's how it will go down.
Or they could finish just under the panthers, and be ahead of the leafs??? Thus not being the division winner
I don't see where you're going with this.
Pirri + 2nd ,,, Pirri and D'Amigo know each other well from NCAA
Grabovski would be great fit on Hawks #2 line with Hossa
If he is moved that would be a perfect situation for Grabovski to be honest. He wouldn't have to adapt all that much in my opinion because Kulemin is basically Hossa light despite his obvious struggles this season. They play a similar over all game and it suits Grabovski's game pretty well.

What's the deal with Pirri? Stats look pretty good for 20 year old, but seems like he gets thrown around in every proposal from the Hawks. Not sure because he's expendable and you need to trade value to get value, or if he'll have a tough time adjusting to the NHL.
You can't compare contracts given out before to the present.. Ville Leino makes 4.5M for doing nothing.
Kesler took a deal which at that time looked reasonable and Leafs aren't at the level where they can ask players to take a pay cut.
Maybe when the deadweight contracts are done with in 1-2 years time.
Grabovski is also a UFA, while Kesler was a RFA. Joe Pavelski is a similar player to Kesler that signed a 4 year/16M deal as an RFA last summer. In both Pavelski's and Kesler's cases, they were in a position where they were inclined to sign for a hometown discount. They were both key players on established Stanley Cup contenders, but more importantly, they were on teams that were anchored by proven veteran stars. Maybe most importantly, neither Pavelski nor Kesler was going to hit the open market, so they had absolutely nothing to lose by re-signing at a discount. Grabovski fits none of those three criteria. Still, even as a potential UFA, 5M seems a bit excessive for Grabovski. He's 28 years old and let's be honest, he's not a #1 center.

Most Hawk fans are obsessed with McNeill as prospect and Kruger is loved by Bowman's/Q because his D has been NHL ready from start jumping over the pond
Pirri wasn't a Bowman pick so alot of it stems from fact most GM's prefer to trade the previous regimes prospects instead of there own
Bowman drafted Mcneill and Kruger's D and versatility to play both wings + C well is valued by coaches/Bowman
So Pirri just jumps out as the guy who is expendable while bringing back value
Dreger been on a roll all year making up bs rumors. Lol Grabovski would return a hell of alot more than that.
Do people not understand that this was reported as a standing offer? It could've been a 7th round draft pick and it would have about the same meaning as far as Grabovski's value goes. This is just something that was offered and the price can obviously rise and likely will with time if a deal were to be made.

I'd definitely be in if the 2nd turned to a 1st and then package the 1st to get a Carter or someone to fill the open spot. Just hoping Burke can make some magic again.
