Actually I do. I just think he's not as great as people think he is. Besides we have solid defensive prospect. Remind me which one of our prospects has a chance at becoming a top line left winger.

WHat happens when Gards becomes #1D on a good team that isn't the Leafs.

I am up for trade, but unless he is bringing in a superstar he shouldnt be moved.

People pay for potential. He can also lose value in the future.

What happens if Gards never becomes at #1 D? We go back in time and ***** about how we could have moved him when his value was high.

Nobody trades a superstar for potential, or OEL would have been moved for Ovechkin.

I love you Jake.

Wouldn't be surprised if CLB was asking for him though.

lucky for most Leaf fans, Burke is as big a fan as I am. so he won't be going anywhere.

Makes me real happy to hear that.

I love Gardiner on this team and hope he sticks around a long while.

If we were in a situation like the Rangers are right now, just that close to cup contention and a Nash was available, that would be the only time I'd ever considering moving a guy like Gardiner who's showing this much poise at such a young age. Otherwise, he's a building block on our blue line.

Gardiner isn't going anywhere I hope too. I could see him develop into one of my favourites.

So you don't agree with developing young talent. Good to know.

If the price of overpaid top line talent is Gardiner. I pass on that a thousand times.

He's EASILY the best defenseman some nights with the Leafs, and I put his puck moving skills above Liles already. Gardiner just needs to get more games under his belt and then he'll shine.

I've got no doubt he'll be a special player. It's not just the Leafs and their fans that think that. When it's all said and done, it won't be called the Beauchemin trade, it will be called the Gardiner trade.

We got a ****ing expressway named after this kid, no way we're trading him.

I would be extremely pissed if we dealt him, but I highly doubt we will. Burke is a fan of his game too, he drafted him in Anaheim and then worked hard to get him in Toronto, my guess is that he's here to stay for a few years at least (hopefully longer).

There is only 2 players I value higher than Gardiner, That's how much I think of him.

Even if we traded him for Nash I would be pretty sour about giving him up.

Kaberle had four 40+ point seasons (if you include one in which he had 39 points in 69 games), two 50+ seasons and a 67 point season. Higher ceiling than that?

If Gardiner turns out almost as good as Kaberle, much less better, whoever he plays for will be a happy GM.

I do. I just don't see development like people around here do. Not every player is bursting with potential.

Actually, we'd trade more than Gardiner. The base wouyld be Gardiner since he's so "great"

Schenn for JVR

Nash is overrated and overpaid.
