I want GM and HC settled before the draft. Keep JJ and the scouts.

Yeah who could possibly have a problem with being told who one of your assistants will be...?

On the McClellan front, what other teams would be options for him?

As far as I know, he doesn't speak French, so the Habs are out. Every other team seems pretty settled at the head coach position.

I guess none of the coaches who inherited Evason?

Edit: Thinking back, those were all mid-season hires, weren't they? I suppose an off-season hire is more likely to make a clean sweep.

You never really know what Calgary may do. That's a little closer to home but obviously not the same opportunity. Most likely he stays put but if not I think he'd immediately become the most obvious good fit.

Renney's status in Edmonton is also uncertain and his contract is due to expire. That's about it other than Montreal it seems. I suppose the Islanders could also perceive themselves to be in a situation similar to Edmonton where a clean break may be needed for the next step.

Jimmie Johnson is bad. Watch the the dmen try and get back on a streaking forward, they try to chase instead of going straight back and keeping them to the outside. Only one who doesn't do it is Alzner, so its a coaching issue for sure.

Minnesota ties it late!

Edit: Wild win 3-2 ot. 15 seconds into OT.

Well, we needed Florida to lose 3 games (one in OT, 2 in regulation) *outside* of our game. If that happens, and we win out, we win the SE.

So they lost the OT game, against a poor team. We now need them to lose 2 *more* games of their 4 against @ CLB, @ Det (good candidate), WIN, or CAR. So, really, we need one of CLB, WIN, or CAR to do us a HUGE solid, and then also have us win out?

LOL, sure......

While we can still win the div with only 4 games left i dont think we can make up the ground. having the tie breaker for the lower seeds is like an extra win and is huge for playing catch up.

I'm sure HSHS is going to be kicking himself that he wasn't here to do some moderating to help reach his next quota. The poor guy was reduced to merging a thread from December recently...

In that case, Langway owes me a beer for giving him the chance to make his quota.
