Pietrangelo is on the doorstep to being a franchise defenseman, so how it would take him +++ or even him alone to get either Benn or Eriksson, is beyond me. I'm not saying they're bad players, but I guess this is a case of their value being more important to their own team than on the trade market.

Benn is on the doorstep to becoming one of the most dominant players in the league, and he's pretty much already the face of our franchise. If I were a St. Louis fan, it'd take Benn+++ to get Pietrangelo away from me, simply because both players mean that much to their teams.

He said to get both it would be Pietrangelo+++.
The Stars have said they are untouchable to their franchise, that's fair enough. Time to let this thread die.

This won't ever happen, though.
There is no way in holy hell Pietrangelo is worth Benn+++!!!
That's what it'd take if we wanted him, just like it'd take Pietrangelo+++ to pry Benn away from us.
Get the idea?
IF Pietrangelo was available and St, Louis was listing to offers there is no way any team would jump on that making it pointless to ever move him. I wouldn't even trade Benn straight up for him. I know what you are saying but that is like saying if Benn was available the asking price is Weber++.
as a blues fan, no way. that's a lot to give up, and i'm not saying eriksson isn't worth it, but i'd much prefer we make a smaller deal for some scoring help. i'm not opposed to dealing stewart, but i'd rather it be in a package to get someone like bobby ryan.
I guess you dont know Loui Eriksson to well, I'd pick him over Ryan anyday of the week. A way more complete player

Im not saying he's available, though. If he was, the price would be significantly less.
Depth at forward is one of them, I wouldn't see them trading away one of their high end guys and leave that exposed.
Although in terms of pure value, Pietrangelo I would rank ahead of both Benn and Eriksson. Eriksson is really good but Pietrangelo is a different breed, especially being a two way dman.

To St. Louis he is more valuable. Dallas thinks of Benn and Eriksson the same.
Last night after the game GMJN was on the ticket saying that Dallas is NOT going to sacrifice their future meaning multiple and multiple pieces on a single player.
it's too bad Oshie has injury troubles, I always thought he was gonna be a bigger stud. I would have loved him in a Stars uni
What injury troubles? He had a freak accident last year this year he has been healthy and played really well he has played on our top line most of the year putting up good points and shutting other teams top lines down. He is a fan favorite though so a massive overpayment would be needed so it would never happen.

Benn is probably at the same point in career, I'm a huge Benn fan so he'll be ahead in my book, but defensemen are more valuable, so that one's debatable. Eriksson is ahead of both of them in my book though, as he's the only who who's proved he can consistently pot 30-40-70 and have an insane defensive game to boot. Benn and Pietrangelo both have higher ceilings, and both are extremely likely to get there, but still.
