nobody bit on my earlier comment, whats with the long trade delay?
Its never made sense to me, and i would just as soon get rid of it.

Alright, 1 week discussion regarding this change.
Proposal: Instead of a 2 day review, it is changed to 1 day for any trades.
We never followed up with this...do we all agree? or no?
Currently, it's a 2 day review.
Proposal would be to change it to a 1 day review or an automatic trade.
Discuss.

Just some discussion questions.
Also, it'd prevent CCF from pushing it through by mistake...remember?
And also, all trades are pushed through at the trade deadline day.

I'm still fine with 1 day. However, if anyone raises an issue with it within that 1 day, then it is open for discussion as deemed necessary (i.e. 1 appeal = it can be reversed, even if we take more than 1 day to determine the reversal is necessary).
Also, please consider this my formal appeal regarding the previous penalties for failing to set my lineups. I think I've made my concerns abundantly clear. While I recognize it has the potential to impact playoff standings, when it's a day here and there (as opposed to say going MIA for an 3 days in one matchup) we are talking about 1 or 2 points realistically when things go wrong for me. Yes, there's the potential for those 1 or 2 points to mean the difference between making or missing the playoffs. However, the odds of me actually affecting seeding, let alone who wins the league, seems miniscule to me. I'm not saying it's okay, but I do feel that a 2nd round pick is a drastic response to what is [in my view] a small infraction.
Also, I will endeavour to set my lineups on a weekly basis, but the reality is I forget on Sunday to do it for the week too. I often remember to do lineups late (e.g. post-1am when I get home from work) and don't have the motivation to set them for the week at that hour. I've actually them 3-weeks in advance once before when I remembered and had time, but those situations are rare (and consequently lead to me missing things like say...Crosby's return to hockey). I'm bad at remembering to do it during 'regular hours,' and so it gets put off. Not saying this is acceptable, but it is how things happen for me. You can make your own judgement regarding that as to whether or not it means I care about the league enough. As for the alternate manager strategy, if anyone knows of a manager that would be interested in setting lineups but willing to leave complete control of the long term strategy (i.e. roster control) in my hands, I would be more than happy to have them on-board for the duration of this season (and quite likely into future seasons).
Edit: Please don't take this as me trying to rehash the argument. I've said most of the above before, and have (I think) heard the counter-arguments. I've been advised that a formal appeal might be considered, and that this was the way to do it. I think an appeal without grounds would be a bit empty, so I'm restating my previous viewpoints. I know many of you disagree with me on these points, and am hoping to respectfully disagree without provoking drama. I await the tribunal/commissioners' judgement (whatever process gets taken?).

Ok, appeal accepted on my part. I have contacted CCF with regards to the procedure we could take. He will also have to accept it to be an official accepted appeal.

If the commissioners deem a rule has been broken and punishment is necessary, the commissioners will suggest a punishment. At that time, the offending party will have a chance to appeal the punishment. There will be a statement made from the offending party as to why he feels the punishment is too severe (or not deserved at all) after which the tribunal will be given the power to either uphold the commissioners ruling, lessen the penalty, or wipe the penalty out altogether.
That proposed rule change has passed by a 12-0 vote.
and...
Are you in favour of adding one utility slot effective next season?
That proposed rule change has also passed by a 9-3 vote.
If we keep the same amount of bench spots, then we will have 12 rounds of draft.
Changing one of the bench spot to a utility spot would keep things running the same way (11 rounds)...which I assume is the case here...

Yes, that's what I assumed we were doing, and what everyone would want... 12 rounds is a bit much IMO.
I'm not keeping Stafford and yes, Ubi will make the playoffs.
RLM (who is in 6th) is up 5-4. Ubi is beating me 8-1. As it stands right now Ubi would be in 6th place and a lot closer to Sel who's going to drop to 5th likely. I'd be willing to bet Ubi finishes 4th or 5th.
Hey guys as of tonight i'm 2 points behind 3rd and 10 points behind first.
Imagine what could have been if I didn't pick Dustin Brown.
As of tonight you're still 19 points behind me. Or do you also count the points for the Canucks' wins when they're up after two periods?
Edit: It's particularly ironic that you count your points before they're on the board, yet mock Ubi about making the playoffs when the same premise puts him in a playoff spot.

You're such an ironic man.
I love how you bash my players and praise Brown during our trade talks...but in fact you're saying he's dragging you back pretty much.
O look Marleau has 9 pts in the past 9 games!

Didn't really notice RLM was only at 171. It was like 1:30 AM and I was pretty tired. Trade makes more sense now, ubi gears up for a playoff run, CCF upgrades a draft pick.
I only found out about the stat tracker recently so now I go by that to know where i'm at. Its pretty awesome.

Yeah. I thought LA was maybe turning a corner... But he kind of was dragging me back, wasn't very good for where I drafted. You never got back to me about trade talks like you said you would
Oh well, what can you do. I'm still in a good position.
You've also got to keep in mind the upcoming schedule, most of my upcoming matchups are against teams that I've had success against.
True. That doesn't mean a whole lot though... I tied Canucksrock/luc, lost 3-6 to you, lost 3-7 to EV and lost 2-8 to brock but beat everyone the second time I played them except you where it was 4-5. Pretty small sample size.
