Ugh my life...
So yesterday I look on NHL.com to check tonight's game time and I thought I saw "8:30" which is 6:30 here. So I tune it at 6:30. Nope. Check the guide and mistake "Avalanche all-access" for the pre-game and tune in AGAIN at 7 and no game still. And now I don't even want to watch because I'm so frustrated that I was mentally prepared for game time over an hour ago
AND WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN EVERY NIGHT?! Perfect scenario for playoffs about to happen...evil team ties it up in the last couple of minutes to at least get a point.
Pack it in fellas, it just wasn't meant to be this year
If only the Avs still had players like in your avatar, they could of beaten teams in NW division.
One of the problems why Avs lose to NW division teams is because they seem to be playing scared and giving too much respect to those teams.
And there is not enough leadership on this team to kick some but in the locker room and get the guys going. Nor there is a good enough coach to get some confidence into players.
It was great when you just knew teams were scared to play the Avs. We're on the opposite end of the spectrum at the moment against divisional teams. One thing is for sure, the NW division is in our head, big time. Back when we had the likes of Sakic, Forsberg, Lemieux, etc... we had that effect on teams. They just knew it was going to take a great effort just to be in the game, let alone win it.
I think we do have some natural leaders on this team. But, in this league, experience counts and we're severely lacking in that department. How many Cup winners or MVPs are on this squad who can say they've been through all of the battles and came out on top? Not many. Our guys need to earn their stripes before they start scaring anyone off in this league.
