Hockey Night in Canada/NHLPA Player Poll

http://www.playerspoll.ca/results/20...of-his-players

Tortorella 59%
Daryl Sutter 8%
Ken Hitchcock 8%
Mike Babcock 7%

Kind of a one sided poll. Were these made before or after 24/7? Interesting stats but I wonder how credible they are.

Torts won that poll last year as well. So 24/7 didnt have anything to do with it.

Last year:

1) Torts 28%
2) Babcock - 24%

Nobody else was close with those 2.

But he was one of the top coaches players want to play for, so they appreciate what he does

Gaborik was voted best skater, at 33%. Also, fastest skater at 32%.

Lundqvist was the goalie most difficult to score on with 38%.

The Rangers were fourth in most overrated team, at 9%. Trailed Vancouver, Toronto and Washington, in that order.

Torts was fifth in coach you'd most like to play for with 7%. Behind Bylsma, Quenneville, Tippett and Babcock.

MSG was third as far as favorite rink to play on. Behind Montreal and Chicago. Had the fifth-worst ice, and was the only arena not in a warm climate on that list (Florida, Tampa, Anaheim, LA, Dallas).

Like i said in the other thread on the NHL board, Gaborik is definitely not the fastest or best skater anymore. Heck he isn't the fastest or best skater on the Rangers

I think he may still have better straight line speed than Hagelin. Hagelin is a better skater overall and certainly accelerates better, but I think Gabs may have a little more top-end speed.
