Happy about the return ! Way more than I would have expected 3 weeks ago.

Just wondering about Geoffrion though ; what can we expect from him ? has he regressed ? numbers not that good in the AHL...

Still, very happy about that deal.

Fantastic deal!

- Got a 2nd this year, which is a nice return. I don't see the Preds going into the conference finals or winning their division even with this trade, so hopefully that pick is close to 50th overall.

- Geoffrion has already shown he can play in the NHL and play well in a stretch drive. He was real good for Nashville late last season. Good size, decent offensive skills, character player, plays an aggressive game and of course, great bloodlines, etc. Could see him fitting in on a line with Eller and Leblanc for a long time. But he has sucked this year in the NHL and AHL, so that is a concern. Keep him down there until he starts lighting it up, IMO. And the pick being tied to him playing 40 games next year is fine, that's enough time to determine if he's a legit NHL player or not.

- Perfect timing right before a gigantic 4 point game for tank nation. Sends a clear message we are sellers, which will hurt team morale.

- Slaney is merely filler. Who cares about him.

You guys broke the boards.

For anyone wondering about Slaney, he's an ECHLer who could step in and provide a bit of AHL help. He will never see NHL time, so he's not much concern in this deal.

Looks like you got a good haul for Gill though!
That's what we do

Did not expect that kind of return. Wow!

Good job, Gauthier.

Let's wait for Blake to actually make the NHL before giving him #5? 24 years old, not good enough for the Preds offense. Yeah.
He's not 24. He turned 23 two weeks ago.

Seems like Slaney knows Morgan Ellis based on what Slaney just tweeted...

Ah, they played together with the Screaming Eagles.

While on one hand I know he's done absolutely nothing to earn it, I've got to wonder if 5 or 7 aren't made available to him because of who he is. Maybe 20 would be more appropriate.

If he plays he'll be the fourth generation of that family to wear the sweater. Impressive.

In 2011-12, Gill (a great guy btw... apparently he likes the Black Keys!) has become one of the worst (when he is on the ice either we get stuck in our end or we give the puck back to our opponent in the neutral zone) even strength D in the whole freakin league imo. Needless to say I am thrilled about the return.

That is another good move by Gauthier.

#57 would seem appropriate. Or maybe whatever his Dad wore.

Does this mean that Moen is being dealt or that he's being promoted to the 3rd line?

Next year's 4th line: Geoffrion - White - Schultz
