Brodziak is not worth a 2nd + a 3rd in any world, especially this one. And Greg Zanon is Eminger v2.0. Brodziak is a 2nd liner on the Wild, and thats about it. I wouldn't give up anything more than a 3rd and a mediocre prospect, and if they wanted more, then let them keep him.

Nicklas Grossman was worth a 2nd plus 3rd... c'mon now.

he is worth a late 1st, he plays multiple positions and chips in brings grit and in a weak market he is even more valuable

id highly consider something like Brodziak+zanon+? for erixon+2nd/3rd?

zanon is purley a rental, but i could see brodziak resigning for the rangers. hes not old so hes still got plently left in his tank. im sure erixon is valuable to you guys, but hes preety much the only prospect that interests me.
I'd consider moving Erixon for Granlund.

What about focusing other assets for Gautaud, and instead of Kyle Brodziak

To Wild
Rangers 2012 2nd round draft pick
AND Ryan Bourque AND Andrew Yogan AND Oscar Lindberg

to NYR
Minnesota's 1st rounder 2012

Boooo, I hate quality for quantity trade proposals. None of those pieces look to have anywhere near the ceiling that Minnesota's 2012 1st should have.

Because Gaustad has 0 goals in 38 playoff games?

Am I missing something? I just looked him up, Brodziak, and his career high is 37 points. He's on pace for a career year of 41 points. Does he have "intangibles" and plays good defense? That's almost every Rangers forward now. Why would we give up a 2nd, much less more than that? The Rangers need scoring depth.

Whether we do it by acquiring a top-6 player or we do it by acquiring a 3rd liner with offensive ability, the intent is the same. We need to upgrade the quality of our 3rd line. It's been a problem all season long. We fixed it temporarily when we called Hagelin and Mitchell up. Now Hagelin's on the 2nd line and Mitchell is on the 4th.

So yes, you are a missing something. It's not uncommon amongst Rangers fans.

And that's worth a 2nd?

Based on Dominic Moore, certainly it is. Hopefully that 2nd is in the 55-60 range anyway.
