Seabrook

I haven't had the chance to catch any Hawks games and am wondering what is up with Seabrook's surge in point production in the last few weeks.

He had 15 points in the first 42 games but he has 9 points in his last 12 games. Is he getting more PP time? New d pairing? Drank a V-8?

We have our #3 and #5 D out. So he is playing in more situations than before.

He's getting more PP time, but that wouldn't explain his increase in points.

Seabs has easily been our most consistent d-man the past 2 seasons. Nice to see him chipping in offensively a bit more lately.

Absolutely loving what Seabrook has been doing lately. When he is at the top of his game, he truly is one of the best defensemen in the game and, IMO, has been our best defenseman for the last 2 seasons.

Seabrook's easily my favorite player. The only concern I have with him are the concussions. He used to be a more physical player, and the concussions seemed to have had long-term effects on him. Hopefully he doesn't get another concussion.

My favorite player as well, but I dint see any concussion problems with him really...he's fine imo.

I think that he just had an offensiv slump at the start of the year...

Agreed, slumping on O at first, should still make a nice run at 40.

If I had to choose the best D man between Seabrook and Keith, it would be Seabrook hands down.

Seabrook is a bum. I'd trade him for just about any other dman making as much money.

I'd do the same with Keith, but keep Seabrook.

I would even go so far as to say that after Toews and Hossa, Seabrook has been the most valuable player on this team. I shudder to think of where this d-corps would be without him.

People like Seabrook over Keith now?

People will want to trade Toews and keep the true captain and Blackhawk in Patrick Sharp as soon as Toews has a down year. No doubt about it.

Seabrook has been better than Keith for the past 2 seasons. Its not like it is just a small stretch of games. I have no doubt that Keith has the ability to be better, but he simply hasn't for a long time.

? Seabrook was terrible last year. I'm not even purposely exaggerating here to make a point. He was just a train wreck defensively. It's been a complete turnaround this season.

Keith is the more dynamic defender. Seabrook has been more consistent the past 2 years, IMO.

I am not saying Seabrook was amazing last season, he wasn't, but Keith was worse. Seabrook was excellent offensively last season and inconsistent defensively. Keith was inconsistent (at best) at both ends of the ice. This year Seabrook has been excellent defensively and, recently, good offensively.

Seabs is great, Keith is great. Can't we just leave it at that?

Keith is still the DMan with the most points since the 09/10 season started.

How far has Keith's stats fallen since 09/10 compared to Seabrooks?

I'm happy that both are Hawks, but would keep Seabrook over Keith if forced to decide

don't see the need to compare them. These two are different in their styles and size
