Might as well bring back up Staubitz for a Peters suspension. The shuffling deck of cards isn't giving these kids any confidence and being around this team won't either.

We lost Peters, so lets bring up another generic player instead. Save Staubitz for if we lose Kassian.

So bring up Almond or McIntyre again so they can be a part of a couple losses then head back down to Houston again? I find it hard to imagine their confidence hasn't already took a hit with what they've gone through. I'd rather see Staubitz than another game from Disalvatore. Perhaps Rau though, he's got no future.

My take...on another ugly horrible game...

http://www.stateofhockeynews.com/201...-b-losers.html

I am not sure if it was here, but someone joked that when the Wild scored a 2nd goal on Thursday night that we'd then be shutout in St. Louis since we borrowed that goal forward. 13 shots on goal is absolutely reprehensible. You can't expect to beat even the Blue Jackets by taking only that many shots. Yeo seems to be out of ideas and I think he's fearing that he's lost his team. At least that's what I got out of his post-game press conference. Tomorrow could be a mega blowout. I have a complete game recap plus a Where are they now featuring Mattias Weinhandl and a Houston Aeros update. Enjoy!

Yeah but then FSN has to re-do the Polar Plunge commercials again and that's more work than Staubitz will do with the Wild.

I can understand that Powe and Peters thought Backes drove Spurgie into the boards, that + the game just made them more frustrated. Bad play anyway.

It will be a hard battle! They may trade Nash but on the other hand, we may compensate that trading Zid

the main board thread is soooo full of melodrama. I'm sure Backes is far less upset about the hit than half the fruits in that thread.

Although it's great to see HF Blues back to life (they were about as dead as this board was for a few years), it seems like a good portion of the Blues posters in that thread want to get satisfaction and pity by calling out Minnesota as classless. Unfortunately most of the Wild fanbase doesn't give a ****, which is sad on its own.

Did we finally hit acceptance?

We should pull a Columbus and have a little rally outside the Xcel.

It's hard to argue for Peters in this scenario. Very cut-and-dry bad play.

I'd rather have everybody agreeing that it's suspension-worthy, rather than having a few Wild fans actively denying the penalty's legitimacy.

I'm not gonna deny the penalties legitimacy, but I'm also gonna go on record and say that the Blues had it coming.

There I said it.

In the video you can see the stick deflects off the shoulder of Backes as well. It wasn't that he purposely skated over there to cross check him in the head.

But yea, easy suspension. Gotta be responsible.

Apparently, some people want Clutterbuck to get suspended for this hit as well.

Don't think he will or deserve one.

Agreed. Luckily, Peters will deflect all the attention anyway.

My God that was a horrible game. I mean geesus guys, I just don't even know where to begin, or if it's worth it.

Peters hit- stupid! I mean I understand we're frustrated, but geesus! I hate Backes and believe he's not always the cleanest player, but you sure as hell never do that to any other player. That just makes the whole organization look bad. I hope Peters gets suspended for a few games and learns from it.

I want to know why we always make everyone else look great. It's been a problem the last few years, and I love how we're slump-busters for almost every other team as well as individual players. The first two goals, both by guys that hadn't scored in freakin forever, I mean really....

I love this team and I haven't given up on them in the long run, but right now they are playing some ****ing *******t hockey and it's straight up embarrassing.
