No, most of us thought the team would be FIGHTING for a playoff spot at this point in the season. Not completely giving up in every aspect of the game.

I want a trophy, god dammit.

It will be made entirely out of rust and require one to put gloves on to move it.

I'm just glad Koivu decided not to join his team for the trip. Awesome leader, that one.

What do you suppose he is whispering to Granlund lately?

most nights i still think guys are trying...or it seems like there is more effort than last year, at any rate. Skill just isn't there. Our D is atrocious and the guys we were relying on to score once every five games or so have all stopped...(cullen, brodz, clutter). I'm just not that bitter about it.

I think Jarick might be as angry as I am but he just bottles it up better.

If I were apathetic I wouldn't be on here.

Should I be pleased the Wild managed to score fewer than two goals yet again?

Should also mention that one of the best teams in the NHL, who hasn't really added much the last couple years in terms of players, is getting by just fine with a crusty old defensive minded coach.

Yes! Because we'll got a top pick in this year's draft so we can become good down the road. This is Yeo's message, preach apathy! Then next year once injuries don't obliterate our Top 6 we'll actually be good.

This year's motto is "Right ****ing it Up for Reinhart"

Or your usual Fail for Nail or Fail for Forsberg.

if you're talking about the Blues...man, that's just plain unfair when you look at who their key guys are right now and how they got them.

Only thing I'm ticked off with is the injury bug. Given up on the rest this year. Excited for the roster changes this summer.

Butch needs to retire cuz he won't be able to make it through a season without getting rattled...not with the direction this league is going.

Lats...give him a year for cheap or let him go. We can't have him sitting out 3 years straight.

Zid, Zan, Schultz need to hit the road.

One of the goalies have to go....

But with the scouts rolling their eyes at Russo today (as a reaction to the Wild), this task of shipping guys out may not be easy.

I wouldn't mind one of Bouchard or Latendresse next year, but that's a big medical question mark. Probably don't have a choice one way or the other because of the contract situations but I'd prefer Bouchard anyway. Having both of them on the roster in key spots is just a time bomb ticking away to fk up our season.

Ticking time bomb is exactly right. We can't afford to have 2 top six forwards on the shelf like this next year. Disaster. Maybe if Butch didn't have such a long history with concussions or if Lats wasn't out for practically 2 straight years, the risk would be worth it. But after seeing what happened this season, it's not!

We need to be the Minnesota Wild next year.....not the Minnesota Aeros.

Imagine 20 years ago, Latandresse and PMB would be out there right now, as would players like Sidney Crosby.

Koivu needs to either be demoted to second line duty only or shopped around in a trade. If Nash's name comes up, so should Koivu.

He has had one season where he played 82 games. He's missed significant chunks of the season constantly in his career and quiet frankly, he's not a very skilled player nor is he someone the Wild needs at this point.

He'll be on the 2nd line after Granlund takes over the 1st.

As for trading, I wouldn't mind putting Cullen's name out there.

I think the only one at this point we shouldn't shop around is Clutter on offense. Everyone else can go. And the only reason I say that is because Clutter is a fan favorite.

Don't forget Nick Johnson.

The Wild can't trade him since they picked him on waivers this season. Actually, Johnson is technically the only one not tradable.

Clutter isn't the only fan favorite based on jerseys down there at the arena. And a fan favorite shouldn't always mean his job is safe.

If you think moving everyone is going to solve the problem, it won't. Look back at this club's history....all the way back to when they were in the playoffs. It's always been a problem. You clean house, you're still going to end up with problems, except now you'll be taking more steps back.
