so something like:

2012 second, 2013 second (or a solid prospect)

nash

CBJ gets a solid d-man plus a starter plus picks/prospect, and buffalo gets Le Rick Nash. from my unbiased and slightly high from all the cold medicine, that should be something that could interest both teams and that isn't unrealistic

I don't think they'll get it done by the deadline but I'll giver a shot from the Leafs perspective

Kulemin
Schenn
Blacker or Percy (Blacker should be NHL ready sooner, Percy is the higher touted)
1st in 2012

I'm not going to bash the value, but I think that leaves Buffalo a little heavy on the left wing... don't you think?

I know this would be horrible for the rangers to ger nash but I've been thinking its going to take something like this to get him....

Rangers- nash
Tyutin
Columbus- one of anisimov/dubinsky
Sauer/MDZ
Wolski (cap reasons)
Kreider
And a first...

Had a dream it was anisimov wolski kreider and a first

Believe it or not, I bet your "dream" scenario is about what the NYR would deal to get Nash. And CBJ will not get much better return than that either. The CBJ have to trade Nash. Maybe not until summer. But how could Nash stay in Columbus after this? Why would ANY GM pay a premium for a guy with a crippling contract, KNOWING that the CBJ are dealing from a position of weakness?

Anisimov is the tradable piece here. Maybe two 1st rd picks, AA, and a prospect will do it.

But at that point, I would just wait to sign Parise. The NYR need a LW anyway.

Why do NYR fans continually include Wolski in trades for cap purposes? I don't mind trading him, he's never come close to what I believe his talent should allow; but his contract is up at the end of this year and his contract has no bearing at all on the Cap. Nash has $7.8 mil a year coming to him for what, another 6 years? way to pricey in terms of dollars and personnel NYR would have to pay. I'd pass on this deal

Not true. Columbus needs to give us their next two first rounders to compensate for us wasting over 10% of our cap on a useless player.

Especially when Paise is a UFA and is also a LW which the NYR could use. Wolski would only be added to the deal if it had to be done by the deadline. Wolski will probably be waived soon anyway, so he will probably not be part of any deal.

Why on earth would the rangers be in on this?
They have a really good TEAM.

They also have their choice of ufa's on a yearly basis, so why give up any assets? Let alone good ones, let alone for that huge cap hit.
They'll get a better player, for less money, for no assets on july 1st.

Doesn't Nash have a list of like 5 teams? Not understanding the proposals from those not on the list.

Rick Nash to the Kings?

Nearly everyone in the hockey world believes it will happen. And why wouldn’t they?

The Columbus Dispatch reported that the Kings were believed to be among the five teams on Nash’s approved list. Indeed, talks have occurred this week between the Kings and Blue Jackets regarding what it will take to acquire the dynamic right wing.

Although deals this complex don’t happen in the space of a few hours, or keystrokes, the Kings possess the assets to make it come to fruition: a promising goalie, a wealth of defensemen, and youth. It adds up to an intriguing mix that GM Scott Howson can sell to his disgruntled fan base in Columbus.

And speaking of disgruntled....

The seemingly endless goodwill and patience of Kings’ fans vaporized with the arrival of their mail the other day, which brought the announcement of a significant season-seat price increase. Their frustration and anger was nicely summarized by Times colleague Helene Elliott.

Which comes back to Nash.

Very rarely do hockey trades work on an organizational (hockey department) level and marketing level. This accomplishes both and would quell the outrage about the price increase.

Nash to Los Angeles is the marquee move that Kings’ president and GM Dean Lombardi tried to pull off, first with Ilya Kovalchuk and, more recently, last summer with Brad Richards, who ended up with the New York Rangers.

Did we mention Lombardi’s boss, AEG’s Tim Leiweke, likes headline-making moves? OK, check that. Loves them.

Keeping David Beckham in L.A. and bringing a bona fide star to the Kings, all in all, would not be a bad couple of months of work for Leiweke.

Agreed. Even if Parise ends up resigning or a wing, they'll set their sights on the following summer. No need unless they're giving Nash away.

FWIW, CBJ's Senior advisor is scouting today's PIT-PHI game and CBJ has been scouting a couple of Flyer's games for a while so there is definitely interest. I'm wondering if Howson and Holmgren are planning to make an off-season deal when the CBA expires to reduce Nash's contract or something of the sort.

I think Columbus would have to consider and pros and cons of dealing within the conference as well.

As much as people will link him to New York they aren't a team who will be gutting their current core for Nash. Things are working for them very well right now and disrupting chemistry mid-season is foolish. Those things are done in the offseason.

Toronto or L.A are my predictions.

Los Angeles definitely has the assets to acquire Nash, no doubt. The question is, whether or not they're willing to part with JJ, Bernier, and probably a first.
