Is it true that offers for Kane are being listened to? Has the kid **** the bed or something? I thought he was a dominant force for the Hawks in both the regular season and playoffs (as a Canucks fan, I think I'd know), and frankly if your GM is even thinking of considering listening to offers for him, what does Chicago want for him? (Not specifically from the Canucks obviously).

The only things being said about Kane are speculation. All of the Hawks beat writers have dismissed any talks.

Frankly it doesn't make any sense, so I'm inclined to believe them.

As I said, the kids a talent. Well, would be a hell of a move, and I'd hate to see what the return would be, as a Western rival.

bope.. probably nothing..

i can't see toronto trading schenn for a prospect

i have a feeling hjalmarsson is going to get traded to philly..
and whatever they get is flipped for a C

and then they go get a defenseman for some prospects

I really hope the grab Nabokov. I just acquired him on my fantasy team, and him leaving NYI would open up the starting spot for Montoya, who I also have.

If Chicago is dangling McNeill for Schenn, Tambo has to get in there and offer Pitlick+. Burke has a knack for bringing in US born players.

I took a look at their past tweets, the @LeafCentral guy called Carlyle being fired by the Ducks and Boudreau being his replacement well in advance of it actually happening. Probably just got lucky on that one, they both look like fake insiders to me.

I mean it is a fan blog. It's SB Nation run, so it has a more credibility than anyone just making a blog, but still.

I don't see the point of McNeil for Schenn. Makes absolutely no sense from the Leafs side. Leafs want to get better. Trading a good young defencemen for a prospect doesn't do that.

The Leafs ARE NOT SELLING. This is just a rumour like all the others.

Little for Frolik + Morin makes some sense

Hawks need C for 2nd line , Frolik is cheaper in actual salary then Little next year (3M vs 2.1M) and Chevy was with Hawks last season and scouted Panthers with Bowman and is familiar with Morin

I dont think it is terrible trade value wise for either team

If the Leafs are trading for a prospect it doesnt mean that they couldnt flip him. I dont see this being real at all, but its just one trade doesnt mean more wont happen. everyone knows that the Leafs have too many D, and Luke seems like the obvious choice to deal.

Chicago will give you a 3rd and 4th rounder or 2nd and 6th rounder for both.

Perhaps the change of scenery to a team who may rely on him more will do Frolik some good. We know he's capable of scoring 20 so if he can get hot for the Jets down the stretch, he could help secure a playoff berth.
What about Frolik for Randy Jones?

Oduya is great, but I thought the Hawks were more in the market for a depth (ie. #5/#6) defenseman more than they were for a top four defenseman. Jones also makes 1/3 of what Oduya makes, allowing the Hawks to make a bigger move for a forward.

Horrible, just horrible.

The Jets give up their #1 C in return for a guy that can't score and comes with an expensive contract to boot, and a prospect in Morin?

LOL

Our counter is Klingberg and Flood for Toews.

Right, except Morin is better than Klingberg, Frolik better than Flood and Little is not a No. 1 centre on a good team, nor is he anywhere near the talent Toews is.

I don't think it's a good trade for Winnepeg.. but it wasn't that bad.
