Supposing he and Homer are talking trade, what is most likely to happen? See poll.
Edit: I voted for #3. I think he may have been looking at Bourdon. But then I am not sure why a GM would travel for such a minor player. Perhaps he was already going to be in the area.

Anyway to unload that contract. Who cares how Mason plays, you can't get any worse than Bryz this season. Maybe try and acquire Nabakov for the playoffs.
Long term defensive acquisition Tyutin/Savard/Moore and checking forward Pahlsson/Vermette
I'd love to get Tyutin and Pahlsson/Vermette. That would fill our two remaining holes - a top-6 defenseman and a top-12 forward. I would also like to get Nash for JVR, Bourdon/Gustafsson, and a 1st or something. I know many of you guys aren't so keen on that idea, but I've always liked Rick Nash.
RT @DarrenDreger: Price too high for Flyers(at moment) for Nash. May re-engage later. JVR,Bobrovski, Schenn or Couturier believed to be part of asking price.

JVR and Bob - I'm sorta okay with - not Coots/Schenn
We have Bryz, the Philly brass won't trade him/get rid of him b/c they'll look like fools if they did - b/c of the contract he has.
5 yrs diff between JVR and Nash - I'm not sure JVR will turn into Nash + in terms of production. Looking again at the seasons Nash has put up, I think he'd be VERY scary here.
Having said all that - we score a lot of goals, Nash would add more but I think a D man is MORE impt.
Hasn't Howson learned his lesson from the Carter trade? I guess he's a masochist. Anyway...absolutely NO to Couts and Schenn. I don't want Nash. I want us to reconstitute the D and continue to build from the net up....

Wow, glad that didn't happen. It wouldn't have helped with any of our issues.... probably would have hurt more.
I don't get why they would be trying to trade for Nash. IMO Their biggest strength is offensive depth. Also that asking price is ridiculous Columbus's looking for a Carter type return, the guy has never broke 80 points, hit 70 points once, and has a 7.8 million cap hit for the next 6 years. Big no from me if Couturier, and Schenn are in the conversation. JVR + Bob + picks I could live with.

Nash is a good two-way forward. Part of the defensive issues are the forwards.
