Yeah. A good one, but just one. When we get healthy we don't have room for any more, even if we dump Foster/Tao

I actually agree. I've been saying for some time that we have a solid defense when healthy. Elite? No. Solid? yes.
Zidlicky would be nice to have.

That is pretty high, but I don't blame Howson for asking for a lot.

This also seems high. Definitely a seller's market. No wonder Lou is waiting out Fletcher for Zidlicky.

BG's Sutter principle at work.

Don't complain. I'm perfectly ok with them dumping assets for mediocre defencemen.

LOL Absolutely laughable that the flyers are trading for bottom pairing d-men. Enjoy that goaltending situation...

With so many guys coming off the trade market early, the deadline day activity might be pretty light.

Flyers are a better team today for making the Kubina deal. Not having Pronger is such a killer though.

They are better, but not by that much. Bourdon to Kubina is a definite upgrade, but we'll see if it was worth it.

I think the Flyers finish 6th this year with their spiral down in their play. The means that the Devils will end up with the Pens.
Lose for 6th.

Buyer's remorse, perhaps? Maybe he'll ask for Voracek back too.

Honestly, I don't blame them. He's their premier offensive defenceman.

Why are they even trading Nash? Did he ask to get out of that mess?

We're getting him several years from now, after we emerge from bankruptcy protection and have plenty of cap room to spend after being at the cap floor for the foreseeable future.
Girardi too. Maybe even Callahan.

Officially, no, he has not asked for a trade. But he isn't begging to stay either.

Methinks he did, but it didn't go public. The PR machine is keeping things quiet in Columbus. And rightfully so, he's their only positive mark.

That would be bad asset management, giving up on him so soon after trading for him, when his value is lowest. Granted, what they're doing with Nash now isn't good asset management either.

Easier said than done. He's on an 11-year deal and is often injured. Tough sell at a 5.2m cap hit.
