Are they not allowed to be at 51 for any amount of time?

This means...this means...ANOTHER TRADE

Moving a player to the NHL still leaves them contracted. Need to move a body to another team.

No, we have people in the AHL signed as well, someone has to go.

Good deal. Now that Grossman and Kubina are Flyers, i guess we can put to rest the whole "Schenn for JVR" thing

Right-o. Must mean another trade then or a player also being involved in the deal back to Tampa Bay - or another trade.

Don't blow things out of proportion. I was quoting one guy that was thinking out loudly about possible trade packages i.e. Kubina++ for one of those guys+.

I thought Kubina would fetch more considering what Grossman cost.

His D is a big ? at times but stick him with Seabrook and have Seabs babysit him or Hammer when he is healthy

Keith-Seabrook
Hjalmarsson-Carle
Leddy-Montador

I'd love to see all 29 GMs collude against Philly to refuse to take a contract off their hands

Dang. I was hoping the Hawks would have snagged this guy. Hopefully this means there is someone better in store.

How does this affect Philly's cap situation? I thought capgeek had them at $0 space available. I'm not too familiar with cap details though.

I highly doubt Tampa would . If anything we could just send some random ahler and add on a 7th to them.

Also, does Philadelphia hate 2nd round picks? They trade them away like crazy.

If they absolutely had to, could they do a buyout (if the player in question agreed)?

What a difference a month makes.

4 (MIN, TB, PHI and apparently Florida's)
Thats actually impressive. You could trade up and potentially have two 1st rounders in a strong draft. Jealous

Man, I have a gut feeling Tampa in on Luke Schenn now that they basically have no legit top 4 calibre d-man besides Hedman. Hope it ain't true though cuz it will probably be Malone coming our way.
