Same difference. 4th due to division seeding, tied for 2nd overall pointwise in the conference. Talk about amazing though, we haven't been healthy all season.
I'd rather get some home ice advantage, and I want NO part of Ovy in the playoffs, garbage season or not.
Right, so you'd rather face Crosby-Malkin, The Flyers, The B's who dominate us, or Lundqvist and the Rags? C'mon, Washington would be the most ideal choice in the first round.

Yeah, I remember saying that 2 years ago. But then we got ****ed by Philly who owned us that season. Matchups are something that everyone should worry about.

If we have to pick and choose who we need to avoid in the first round, then we don't deserve to go deep in the first place..

We probably wouldn't see the Bruins or Rangers if we keep winning, but ya, the Southeast division winner is probably the better opponent than either the Flyers or Penguins.

I'd rather 4th than 6th, don't want 5th.
The home ice is nice and we will have to beat these teams anyways.. The goal is a cup, not getting to the second round.
4th seed has a lot of advantages.. home ice first round as well as a decent possibility of getting another home series in the 2nd round.
I'll take anyone in the playoffs except the Bruins.. We have Fluery's number and I'm not so worried about them unless Crosby comes back. We match up well against the Flyers considering they have no goalie and we have good offensive depth.. and I'll take the Rangers and their dump and chase all day.

Actually, just getting to the 2nd round can do wonders. When Boston just barely squeaked by Montreal after a horribly played first round, they went into complete beast mode the rest of the playoffs. All I'm saying is we haven't exactly been on the fortunate side of matchups in the playoffs since we moved to the Rock. I'd like to get a favorable matchup for once.
We do torch Fleury, and nobody can be sure about the Flyers' goalies. The Panthers seem to match up well with us, and I don't trust the Caps to suck in the playoffs. So who knows what the best match up is at this point?

Pittsburgh purposely lost their last game of the season in 08 to face a mediocre Sens team and it did them wonders. The first round in the playoffs is all about matchups imo.

I think we could beat every single team. However, if We had a choice
The order is (Well mine is)
1.Florida/Washington
2.Pitt
3.Philly
4.Rangers
5.Bruins (They have our number)

I disagree. You want to be the best, you have to beat the best and we have a fighting chance against any team in the East. The only team I am categorically terrified of is Boston.

Agreed. You can't get wrapped up in avoiding a matchup, especially after a year without playoff hockey entirely.
That said I'd rather finish 5-8...the other teams can have home ice, we've been better on the road this season anyway, and hideous at the Rock during the playoffs.
