he's a 65 point player. That's not a star. Good player for sure, but not a star.
Sure, when you look at his point totals. You could look at his +/- too and say he's an average player at best.
Any player that can score 40G+ and 1pt/gp more than once, I will consider more than a good player.
Add the fact he's scored at a 35G+ for six years out of nine, and ya, I will think he's more than just a ''good player''.
I guess it all comes down to personal definitions. But I think a guy like AK is a good player, I think Plekanec is more than just a good player. So there's no way I put Nash in the same rank as these guys.
And then I take into consideration the fact he's played on one of the worst teams in the NHL year in year out, and look at the list of centers he's played with, an old Fedorov, Peca, Vermette, Malholtra, Williams, Carter. I'm not going to knock on Nash for not consistently being capable of leading his team anywhere. This year, it's just not working in CLB.
That's just the centers too, let's not talk about his other wingers..
There's no doubt in my mind that Nash is a star. He's certainly a lot better than just a ''good player'' imo. I guess we'll agree to disagree.
