Good signing. Five million is a fair cap hit.

Nice signing. Enjoyed watching him play in Dallas and even more in Pitt.

Overpayment, but if he can keep up his play for next 5 years it'll be worth it.

Good for Pittsburgh, they lock up their only true scoring winger

the price is fair based on this season's performance. The problem is this season may be atypical for Neal, but time will tell.

Awesome. I think it's a fair deal both ways. I was a bit worried about Neal getting signed by shero with the cba expiring, but were good now.

So... good deal until he proves otherwise then?

Great deal. I wish players would take these types of discounts for our GM.

If you can outscore the opposition you can win games. The Pens core has proven that they can win in the past so if I was a fan of the team I wouldn't be too worried.

That is unless the cap goes down drastically next year.

5 mil a year isn't overpayment for a guy whose scored over 20 every single season of his career and is having a career year at age 24, leading the league in shots and being top 2-3 in pp points. And if you've seen him grow in Pitt this year alongside malkin, 5 mil is almost worth the entertainment from their chemistry, let alone any goals. He really is the perfect winger for this team. There's a lot worse ways to spend 5 mil *cough* Michalek.
